Day 1: Manaus

Arrival at the airport of Manaus where you will be picked up, brought to your hotel and have the remaining day at leisure. Here you can get a little glimpse into the "gateway to the Amazon" Manaus, which is also often referred to as the "Paris of the tropics". The old town consists of ancient buildings, which were built in the “Art Noveau” style at the beginning of the 20th century from parts that came by ship from Europe.

Optional: in case of early arrival it is possible to organize a city tour of Manaus. The tour lasts about 4 hours. Your first stop will be to visit the best example of 18th century architecture., The famous "Teatro Amazonas" - an imposing neoclassical structure built with materials imported from Europe and decorated with priceless paintings by Capranesi and Da Angeli. Dating back to 1896, its impressive architecture and sumptuous interiors underwent an extensive restoration in 1989. It is a symbol of the former rubber "golden age" region and ranks as one of the most elegant theaters.
From here, you will pass through the Rio Negro Palace - which now serves as a cultural center and shipping hall for some events where the Governor hosts celebrities, and the Art, Municipal Market - a replica of "Les Halles" in Paris, floating port, and on the way we will visit the Museum of the Indians which houses exhibits of artifacts, clothes and weapons of the main indigenous tribes of the region.
And finally, we will visit one of the most beautiful stadiums built for the World Cup in Brazil, Arena da Amazônia.

Manaus city tour

Day 2: Manaus, Amazon River

Breakfast at the Hotel and transfer to the port to take the boat for the 4 day cruise along the Amazon River.

09:30 am starts with a cruise down river, visiting the meeting of the waters (Negro and Solimões River). Then a short visit to a floating Village with 30 families, (it is a very interesting place, where the guest will have an idea, of how people live on floating houses) and then we will go to Janauari Park, to have a catwalk view of the giant water lilies.

12:30 pm –Lunch on the Board. Afterwards the group will do an excursion in small canoes into the Igapó (annually flooded forest). After transfer to motorized canoes. Glide silently into the flooded forest and its countless overgrown tributaries. Armed with only a flashlight, your guide will attempt to locate caimans (alligators). Attracted by the light, their eyes shine like rubies. Watch as the guide attempts to catch one of the smaller reptiles with his bare hands and lifts it out of the water for you to see. Unharmed, the caiman will then be returned to the water. The thrill of catching a caiman, plus the mystical surroundings of the forest at night makes this quite a unique and exciting experience.

Day 3: State of Amazonas

Trekking in the rainforest and piranha fishing

06:00 am – Departure to Jaraqui river
Breakfast on board 08:00hr am –Trekking in the Rainforest with your tour guide and also a local guide from the Jaraqui river. During the Trek the group will get information about the flora and fauna of the region, including medicinal plants.
After trekking lunch on Board, and time for swimming in the River.
Afternoon –Piranha Fishing and Sunset tour 06: 30 pm

Dinner on Board Overnight cabins.

Day 4: State of Amazonas

Sunrise Tour and birding watching in canoes

After breakfast, walking through the middle of the islands of the Archipelago Anavilhanas an Caboclos community "Acajatuba Village", where 35 families live peacefully descendants of Indians "Nwengatus", "Tukanus" recognition of the location, customs and culture. visit the school and manufactures to canoes. (These people are of a mix ethnic background. After recognition, the lunch will be served in the cruise. In the afternoon, on arrival at a local ride in motorized canoes to a place called Lake of Bim, visit cabloco house and manufactures flour. At night, departure in motorized canoes to observe nocturnal animals, with the possibility of alligators, the site is the natural habitat of the famous "Alligator Açu" (Melanosuchus niger).

Day 5: End of Itinerary

After breakfast swimming with the pink dolphins and departure to Manaus, 11:00 am transfer to Airport/hotel.

What to bring:
A backpack, cotton T-shirt, several pairs of socks, long and short pants, comfortable clothing, shoes or trekking shoes for a walk in the jungle, comfortable shoes and sandals, swimwear, towel, sunglasses, hat or cap, sunscreen, a small torch , Binoculars, mosquito repellent, waterproof poncho, water bottle.
