As Delfin begins its journey, you’ll enjoy panoramic views from the elegant observation area on the third deck. Our bartender will serve you an exotic cocktail made from regional fruits and pisco. Your naturalist guide will then provide an overview of your journey’s schedule, activities, route, highlights, wildlife, and vegetation, along with geographical and historical details.
You’ll explore the Marañon River, a prime spot for birdwatching and monkey sightings. As your naturalist guide points out various creatures, enjoy the stunning sunset and capture beautiful photos of the Amazon Rainforest.

You’ll have the chance to meet Carola, a spiritual caretaker and healer who serves hundreds of jungle dwellers across many roadless miles.
You’ll begin cruising through the Yanayacu and Pucate Rivers, exploring various creeks and lagoons. This region, one of the best-preserved areas of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, is rich in biodiversity. Your guide will help you spot the diverse wildlife here. If you’re eager to interact directly with the waters of the Amazon, you can take out one of our kayaks or paddle boards. You might even catch a glimpse of the famous pink dolphins!

You’ll venture deep into the rainforest on terra firme (non-flooded forest). Your guide will highlight the dynamic creatures and lush vegetation of the Amazon. Keep a sharp eye out for surprises—every step reveals something new! You might spot Anacondas, Rainbow Boas, Tarantulas, Poison Frogs, and recently, porcupines. This trail is one of the rare spots in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve where you could see the elusive 2-toed sloth.

You'll toast and marvel at the colors where the Ucayali and Marañón Rivers meet to form the Amazon River. This is your chance to capture an incredible sunset over the Amazon Rainforest.
You'll visit a local community, where natives of this place will show you how they peel and grate cassava, and you might see someone demonstrating the tools they use for processing locally grown rice.
You'll travel downriver to a wide creek leading to a hidden lagoon. As you soak in the stunning landscape, you'll encounter wildlife like hawks, terns, herons, and monkeys. You'll also meet the rivereños, who are integral to this ecosystem. Keep an eye out for pygmy marmosets, squirrel monkeys, and the Arctic-looking Monk Saki with its thick fur and bushy tail.

You'll visit the Rescue & Rehabilitation Center of River Mammals (Amazon Forever) on the drive from Nauta to Iquitos airport. You can meet baby manatees here, learn about their endangered status, and see other rescued animals.
