Day 1: Windhoek

Upon arrival at the Windhoek International Airport, meet and greet by a representative of Africa Mosaic Safaris, followed by transfer to the car rental company. Proceed to Windhoek for the night and possibly some shopping.

Day 2: Swakopmund

Depart from Windhoek via the scenic route over the Khomashochland and Kuiseb Pass into the Namib Desert towards the Atlantic Ocean.

Check in. We recommend fresh seafood from the Atlantic for dinner.

Day 3: Swakopmund

Today is spend at leisure to explore this quaint coastal town or with various optional activities.

An early departure is recommended for today. Travel along the Atlantic Ocean, back inland past Namibias highest mountain, the Brandberg, into Damaraland to Palmwag Lodge. Optional Game Drive at Lodge.

Day 7: Etosha South

Depart Damaraland towards Etosha National Park. If time permits, an afternoon visit into the Park is possible.

Day 8: Etosha South

Visit Etosha park in your rental vehicle or optionally with the lodges safari vehicle and ranger.

Day 9: Onguma Nature Reserve

Game viewing through Etosha from west to east. Visiting various waterholes along the route and the gigantic salt pan. Depart the park prior to sunset.

Day 10: Rundu

After a leisurely drive through communal land, past woodcarvers and potters, you reach the Okavangoriver, being the border between Namibia and Angola. Optional boat cruise at sunset on the Okavango.

Day 11: Chobe River Front

Continue through the Caprivi, now Bwabwata National Park. Keep your eyes open for elephants, cattle and donkeys crossing the road.

Day 13: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Todays journey takes you through Botswana to Zimbabwe. Please make enough time for the possible prolonged border crossings.

At leisure to explore Victoria Falls Town and for optional activities. We recommend dinner at the Boma Traditional Restaurant, at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.

Day 15: Eastern Hwange National Park

About an hour's drive through teak and mopane woodland, Hwange National Park awaits. At 14,600sq km, Hwange is a large, pristine and scenic game reserve.

Day 16: Eastern Hwange National Park

Hwange Park Game Drives.

Along with its size comes great diversity of habitats and Hwange is known for its high wildlife and bird populations. With 420 bird species and 105 mammals recorded it is one of the most diverse game reserves in Africa.

Spend three days on safari in Hwange National Park in a luxury safari lodge with Meru-style en suite rooms and full-board lodging including safari activities, local drinks and excellent Zimbabwean meals.

Hwange National Park has many waterholes that ensure varied and reliable game viewing. Hwange is famous for its predators and its great herds of elephant and buffalo. The largest population of the extremely rare African dog thrives in Hwange and the birdlife is prolific.

On your daily game drives, you will look for rhino, lion, leopard, wild dogs, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, roan, sable, zebra and many more African plains game species. The park is a great birding spot with 19 specials to look out for.

Day 18: Kasane

Continuing south west, you will cross into Botswana again and clear customs and immigration. Todays destination Chobe National Park , home of great herds of elephant and plenty of lion and plains game.

On the way: The drive is through a game park so keep your eyes peeled for elephants.

Day 19: Kasane

Chobe Game Reserve is one of the most famous game reserves in Africa and rightly so. The park has the Chobe river as its lifeblood and features the largest herds of elephant found anywhere on earth. In addition lions, leopards, lesser predators and scores of plains species abound; birding is excellent with over 400 species and several rarities.

Expert tips

Day flights into the Moremi Reserve are possible from Kasane, optionally adding 1 or 2 nights at Moremi Crossing, starting at Euro 750/Person.

Day 20: Kasane

Chobe Game Park / Kasane Village.

Day 21: End of Itinerary

Depart from your Camp / Lodge in time for your departure flight from Kasane. Please also make provision for enough time to hand over the vehicle.
