Murchison Falls National Park

On the transfer from Entebbe or Kampala to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the protection of rhinos in Uganda. This is an important place where you can see these majestic animals up close and learn more about their protection. During your visit to Ziwa, you will also take part in a rhino trek. This is the only place in Uganda where you can see white rhinos in the wild. Accompanied by highly trained rangers, you will walk into the territory of the southern white rhinos, giving you a unique opportunity to observe these endangered animals in their natural habitat.

After visiting the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, continue to Paraa Safari Lodge, located in Murchison Falls National Park. Day 3

    

Murchison Falls National Park

On the third day of your safari, you will start the morning with an exciting game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. This is a great opportunity to see wildlife in its natural habitat, including elephants, buffalo and various antelope species.

After the game drive, you will take a boat safari on the Nile. This boat trip, which takes about 2 to 3 hours, will take you to the foot of the impressive Murchison Falls. During the trip, you will have the opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles and a variety of birds, including the rare shoebill. The boat trip also offers beautiful views of the landscape and wildlife on the shore.

Alternatively, you can take a hike to the top of the falls. This hike starts at Baker's Point, where you depart by boat. The hike offers breathtaking views of the falls and the surrounding landscape. It is an unforgettable experience to see and hear the massive volumes of water up close as they cascade down.

On the fourth day of your safari, you will start the morning with a game drive in the delta of Murchison Falls National Park. This is a great opportunity to see wildlife in its natural habitat, including hippos, crocodiles and various bird species.

Day 5

    

Kibale Forest National Park

Day notes

On the fifth day of your safari, you will make your way to Chimpundu Lodge, which is located near Kibale Forest National Park. After checking in at the lodge, it's time for an exciting Bigodi Swamp Walk.

This guided 4.5 km walk through the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary offers a unique opportunity to explore the area's rich biodiversity. Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will hike through the lush vegetation and over boardwalks, while observing various bird species, including the magnificent Great Blue Turaco.

During the walk, you will also have the opportunity to see various primates, such as olive baboons and red-tailed monkeys, as well as other wildlife such as sitatungas and bushbucks. The Bigodi Swamp Walk is not only a great way to experience nature, but also supports the local community that is committed to preserving this ecosystem.

Kibale Forest National Park

On the sixth day of your safari, the Chimpanzee Habitat Experience is on the program, a unique and unforgettable experience that lasts a full day. After an early breakfast, you will leave for Kibale Forest National Park, where you will join a group of researchers and guides for an in-depth introduction to chimpanzees.

The day begins with a briefing at the Kanyanchu visitor center, where you will learn about the rules and expectations of this special activity. You will then head into the forest to observe the chimpanzee community as they get used to the animals. This means that you will have the opportunity to observe these fascinating primates up close as they go about their daily activities, such as eating, playing and socializing.

You can follow the chimps as they leave their nests and start their day. During the day, you will have the opportunity to observe their behavior and interactions, giving you insight into their complex social structures. This experience not only offers a unique insight into the lives of chimps, but also contributes to important research efforts for their protection.

The chimpanzee habitat experience ends when the chimpanzees start to build their new nests for the night. After a day full of adventure, you will return to Chimpundu Lodge, where you can enjoy a well-deserved dinner and relax.

Northern Queen Elizabeth National Park

On day seven of your safari, you will make your way to Mweya Safari Lodge, which is located on the banks of the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park. After checking in at the lodge, it is time for an unforgettable boat trip on the Kazinga Channel.

This trip offers a unique opportunity to explore the region's rich biodiversity. The channel is known for having the largest concentration of hippos in the world, and you will have the chance to see crocodiles, elephants and a wide variety of bird species, including the majestic African fish eagle and the rare shoe-billed stork.

The boat trip takes about two to four hours and is accompanied by experienced guides who will tell you everything about the flora and fauna along the banks. Northern Queen Elizabeth National Park

On this day, you will start with an exciting walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park. After an early breakfast, you will set out with an experienced ranger on a guided walk through the park. During this walk, you will have the opportunity to experience the diverse flora and fauna of the area up close. You may spot various antelopes, zebras and perhaps even giraffes on the picturesque bush trails.
