On this must-do private journey around the Cape Peninsula, you’ll tour the spectacular Atlantic seaboard. The drive takes you past the swish seaside suburbs of Sea Point and Clifton, and on to Camps Bay, with its many trendy beachfront cafés and restaurants.
The exclusive hamlets of Bakoven and Llandudno are also gorgeous sights to take in on your way to the fishing village of Hout Bay. Next, you’ll navigate the breathtaking curves of Chapman’s Peak Drive as it follows the Peninsula’s rocky coastline, revealing spectacular views in all directions.
At the Cape of Good Hope, which forms part of Table Mountain National Park, you have the opportunity to see some fabulous birdlife, as well as very special fauna, such as Cape mountain zebra, bontebok and chacma baboons. Ride the funicular to the Cape Point Lighthouse and capture even more magical vistas of False Bay, or if you are feeling active, hike up from the famous Cape of Good Hope landmark.
Of course, no visit to the Cape Peninsula would be complete without popping in at Boulders Beach to witness the antics of the African penguins. Head home through the naval village of Simon’s Town, stop to browse the eclectic range of shops and galleries in bohemian Kalk Bay, and spot the surfers vying for the best waves at Muizenberg.
To round off your day, take a stroll through Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, nestled on the slopes of Table Mountain. Here you can admire a panoply of the unique Cape flora also known as fynbos, as well as plants from the many diverse biomes of southern Africa. Or, if you prefer the fruits of a different kind of plant altogether, enjoy a wine tasting at one of the premium estates in the Constantia Valley.
Later, return to your hotel to freshen up before dinner.

Today, you may wish to explore Cape Town on your own. Perhaps visit the colorful Bo Kaap area, with its vibrant homes, rich history, and unique flavors. Be sure to ride the Table Mountain aerial cableway to the top of the mountain for breathtaking views. A visit to Stellenbosch or Franschhoek is also a great way to spend the day, with wine for the adults and other activities for the kids. Have lunch at one of the many delicious establishments in the winelands, such as Babylonstoren, where you can also tour the farm.
Later, return to your hotel and enjoy your last night in Cape Town.

At a time to be determined, you will be met at your hotel and transferred to the Cape Town International Airport for the flight to Livingstone, Zambia (note that this flight needs to be booked separately, and we are happy to assist). On arrival in Livingstone, you will clear immigration and collect your luggage, then proceed to the arrivals area, where you will be met and transferred to Toka Leya Camp, your home for the next two nights.
On arrival at Toka Leya, you will meet with camp management to discuss what activities you'd like to do. This evening, we highly recommend a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River, with canapes and drinks. Later, return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Wilderness Toka Leya is an elegant riverside camp that invites total relaxation, and adventure, in equal measure. Overlooking the mighty Zambezi River and some of its islands, it is a serene wildlife sanctuary and a superb base for guests to explore the rich wildlife in and on the water, and on land. It’s also just a short drive from one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World – the Victoria Falls. At almost 2 kilometres wide, the Victoria Falls is the largest sheet of falling water in the world. The river plunges dramatically more than 100 metres into the Batoka Gorge, raising an iridescent mist that can be seen from as far as 20 kilometres away – hence its local name, Mosi-oa-Tunya – The Smoke that Thunders.
All meals, local drinks, and a variety of activities are included.

Highlights
- Take a guided tour of the Victoria Falls on the Zambian side.
- Enjoy evening sunset cruises on the river.
- Head into Livingstone Town and visit the museum, markets, and other sites.
- Explore Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park from boat cruises and game drives; go catch-and-release fishing; take a fascinating back-of-house tour to find out more about our pioneering sustainability initiatives; indulge in a sublime relaxation treatment at the camp's scenic riverside spa.
- Tracking white rhinos on foot is an unforgettable wildlife encounter in this, Zambia’s smallest national park.
- Spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffalos, and a dazzling array of birds, including specials like the African finfoot and African skimmer.

This morning, you will be transferred by road to the Kasane Airport in Botswana (a flight from Livingstone to Kasane is also available if you prefer). On arrival at Kasane, you will be assisted with checking in for your flight to Shinde Camp, located in the Okavango Delta.
On arrival at the camp airstrip, you will be met and transferred by your guide to Shinde Camp, where you will have time to refresh before heading out on your afternoon game drive. Shinde is an iconic camp, one of the first in the Okavango Delta, and loved by many. The new Shinde pays homage to its former self retaining the authentic classic safari style. The new tents and main area provide a luxury experience with a touch of historical charm. The décor of the new camp can be described as “the best of nature within an authentic safari design – still with the understated, friendly and intimate Ker & Downey Botswana feel”. Elegant, Classic, Opulent ‘Out of Africa’. A ‘worldly’ sophisticated safari experience. Every possible comfort has been created for – from full solar electricity and a private viewing deck, throught to yoga mats!
Later, return to camp for dinner and overnight.
All meals, local drinks, and scheduled activities are included.

Two full days in this pristine wonderland.
Courtesy of its location Shinde can offer both water and land activities year-round. Game drives are conducted by a personal guide in comfortable, specially designed game drive vehicles. When out on game drives our window seat guarantee ensures no more than four guests per vehicle and individual use of a camera mount. For the more adventurous, guided walks are also available while fishing enthusiasts will enjoy fishing for a variety of species such as tilapia and tigerfish.
Please note that there are age restrictions on walks and mokoro rides.

Today, you will say goodbye to the Okavango Delta and return to the airstrip for the scheduled flight to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. On arrival, you will be met by your guide and transferred to Jack's Camp, a wonderful off-the-beaten-path camp offering a unique safari experience!
- Jack's is one of Africa's most storied and iconic camps and just one of three, in a one million acre private wildlife reserve.
- The only camp in Africa with a swimming pool tent - and a tea tent!
- A blockbuster of activities including quad biking, horseback riding, bushman walks, game drives and meerkat encounters with some of the best and most experienced guides in Botswana.
- 50,000 zebra and wildebeest migrate through the area from January to April
- Year round wildlife includes zebra, wildebeest, springbok, steenbok, elephant, brown hyena, oryx, Kalahari lion and cheetah.
- The camp has one of the most comprehensive collections of ancient artefacts in Botswana, collected by the Bousfield family over decades.
After checking in at camp, you'll decide what activities you'd like to enjoy this day. Later, return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
All meals, local drinks, and scheduled activities are included in your stay.

Two full days to explore!
Be sure to visit the habituated meerkat colony and walk with the local San people.
