Day 1: Arusha

Arrive Kilimanjaro Airport  where you are met and transferred to your hotel located a short distance from Arusha Town Centre.

Day 2: Lake Burunge

Morning at leisure with safari briefing followed by lunch. In the afternoon, your safari vehicle and depart Arusha passing through the Masai Steppe filled with many picturesque African villages as well as maize, coffee and banana plantations. At the town of Makuyuni continue to Lake Burunge on the western edge of Tarangire National Park Gate. Here your lodge is located on the shores of the lake adjacent to the park. Arrive for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

Morning board your safari vehicle for game viewing within the park in search of its large lion prides and elephant herds. Drive through the baobab tree lined park and explore the silale swamp. Return to your camp for lunch.

Afternoon drive north through the park and to the town of Makuyuni where you continue the journey through a scenic escarpment that brings you to your lodge, perched on the edge of the Rift Valley with stunning views over the distant Lake Manyara.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti

This morning you enjoy a game drive through Lake Manyara with its beautiful Mahogany forest. Afterwards, you set out for Africa's most famous park - the Serengeti .  As you approach the park gates you start seeing wildlife. You continue to your lodge arriving in time for dinner.

Activities and Services

Day 5: Northern Serengeti

You have almost two full days to explore its 5,600 sq. miles. You may see cheetah, giraffe, lion, leopard, elephant - the list is endless. And each year it is the scene of the great migration where millions of wildebeest and zebra make their annual trek in search of fresh grass. Serengeti National Park is the Africa most of us have seen on television.

Day 6: Karatu

You again have almost the full day in the Serengeti . In the afternoon,  you start to travel south again, to skirt the rim of the Ngorongoro crater on route to your Ngorongoro lodge. You arrive in time for dinner.

Day 7: Karatu

The next day after breakfast you descend down into Ngorongoro Crater through the early morning mists and 2,000 feet into the crater. Here you enjoy a full day game drive with picnic lunch. Ngorongoro's caldera shelters the most beautiful wildlife haven left on earth, often dubbed 'the world's largest natural wildlife arena.

Due to its size and diversity, the crater floor is comprised of several distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes and springs, to open grassland and some sandy dunes. A truly unique wildlife experience. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: End of Itinerary

Depart Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast, head south east past the highlands and the Karatu district, Lake Manyara and Mto wa Mbu Village. You will view the scenic wheat plains and coffee plantations here before journeying down the spectacular escarpment turning south on to the main road to Arusha. The journey will pass through the Masai Steppe filled with many picturesque African villages as well as maize, coffee and banana plantations. On arrival in Arusha lunch is provided followed by transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
