8-day Best of the Cape

Day 1: Cape Town

On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, collect your luggage and proceed through customs. You will be met by your Southern Africa 360 representative and privately transfer you to your Hotel located in the heart of the City.

After check in you are free to explore the surrounding area and visit any of the Local restaurants within walking distance. 

Day 2: Cape Town

Today you will enjoy a half day City Tour where you will find a number of the Cape's top attractions, from Table Mountain to the imposing Castle of Good Hope to the colourful cottages of the Bo Kaap, the bustling Green Market Square, the South African Museum, and the beautiful Company Gardens.

Should the cableway up Table Mountain not be operating you will be taken to Table View for a “postcard view” of Table Mountain. 

Spend the afternoon at leisure, we can recommend spending some time at the V&A Waterfront which has a wide variety of shops, entertainment and restaurants on offer. 

Day 3: Cape Town

After breakfast you will be met by your guide and embark on a full day tour of the ruggedly beautiful Cape Peninsula. See all the top sights along South Africa’s Cape Peninsula on this full-day tour from Cape Town.

Spend the evening at leisure, exploring Cape Towns vibrant night life and roof top bars for a night on the town. 

Day 4: Knysna

After breakfast, you will be met by your driver-guide and proceed to Knysna, a lovely seaside town along the Garden Route passing many towns including the Cape Winelands, Mossel Bay, George and Wilderness along the way to stop for lunch before checking in at your hotel after 14:00. 

The afternoon you are free to explore the town making sure to visit the Knysna Waterfront, one of the most popular leisure and shopping destinations in the regions, boasting a superior marina, which is also your departure point for your Sunset John Benn Cruise (weather permitting) ending the day with dinner at one of their famous restaurants.

Day 5: Knysna

After breakfast, depart on a full day tour to Oudtshoorn, located in heart of the scenic Klein Karoo well known for its Ostrich farms and rests along the Route 62 wine route.

Here you will enjoy visiting the famous Cango Caves (Africa’s Biggest show cave system before proceeding onto Cango Wildlife Ranch and ending the day feeding Ostriches at the Safari Ostrich Farm. Returning to Knysna in the late afternoon and end your evening by enjoying a delicious dinner offered by an array of restaurants located along the Knysna Waterfront.

Day 6: Eastern Cape

After breakfast, depart for the Eastern Cape passing Plettenberg Bay known for its sandy beaches, vineyards and Horse-riding. View the luscious forests of the Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve, where you can enjoy a walk on the suspension bridge, bungee jump off the Bloukrans Bridge and stop for lunch enroute.  

Check in at the Lodge after 14:00  and later proceed on an afternoon game drive exploring the abundant wildlife and diverse flora this region has to offer. Return in time to freshen up and enjoy dinner at the Lodge.

Day 7: Eastern Cape

An early start to the morning includes a hot cup of tea or coffee before proceeding on the first game drive of the day. The wildlife reserve is set in a mix of grassland, fynbos, valley bushveld and sub-tropical vegetation which is home to African game such at the Big Five, zebras, giraffes, hippos, and wildebeest to name a few.

Upon returning to the Lodge you will enjoy a warm breakfast before enjoying the Lodge facilities, before proceeding to Lunch. Bird enthusiast will be able to view a great diversity of bids within the Savannah habitat with more than 250 recorded species in the area.

Embark on your second game drive of the day once again ending with a delicious dinner at the Lodge.

Day 8: End of Itinerary

This being your last morning, you will start with a warm beverage and morning game drive (time permitting) and end with a delicious breakfast at the  lodge before transferring to Port Elizabeth Airport for your departure flight.
