Expert tips:
Pack light, neutral, and quiet
Wear breathable clothing in muted colours (olive, khaki, brown) and avoid anything that rustles. A small daypack with just water, sunscreen, a hat, and binoculars is ideal—walking safaris are about moving easily and staying alert, not carrying gear.
Slow your pace, sharpen your senses
Walking safaris aren’t about ticking off big animals—they’re about reading the bush. Listen for alarm calls, watch the ground for tracks, and trust your guide’s instincts. The slower and quieter you are, the richer the experience becomes.
Trust the process—and your guide
Experienced guides prioritize your safety at all times. Follow instructions closely and relax into their leadership—confidence and calm awareness are key to both safety and enjoyment.
Day notes
Each day, rise with the African dawn. Brewed coffee and a good breakfast to energize yourself for your guided walks through bush, tracking wildlife and countless smaller creatures while your expert guides teach you how to read the land and its hidden signs.
Midday brings a relaxed break: lunch in the shade and a chance to rest and reflect.
As the afternoon cools, head out again for shorter explorations along riverbanks and secret trails.
Nights are spent in comfortable tents, open fires, and freshly prepared meals, setting the scene for stories under an endless African sky.
This is more than a safari; it’s a rhythm of the bush: walking, observing, moving camp, and immersing yourself fully in the wilderness. Every step offers discovery, every night a front-row seat to Africa’s untamed beauty. By the end, you’ll have seen the bush in a way few ever do, leaving with unforgettable wildlife memories and a deep connection to the wild heart of Zambia

Expert tips:
Do’s
Always stick with your guide, who knows the bush and keeps you safe. Wear neutral, breathable clothing, a hat, and sturdy shoes. Move quietly and slowly—the bush reveals its secrets to the patient. Respect wildlife by observing without touching or chasing. Stay hydrated, use sunscreen, and enjoy the natural rhythm of camp life.
Don’ts
Never wander off alone; always stay with the group. Avoid bright colors or flashy gear, which can scare wildlife. Don’t feed or touch animals—safety comes first. Avoid loud noises or sudden movements, letting the bush speak for itself. Leave nothing behind; mobile camps thrive in pristine wilderness.
Day notes
Wake up before dawn to the sounds of the bush and enjoy a light breakfast before setting out on a morning game drive. Track elephants, lions, leopards, and Thornicroft giraffes.
Pause mid-morning for tea or coffee at a scenic spot, then return to camp for a freshly prepared buffet lunch and a relaxing rest during the heat of the day.
As the afternoon cools, head out again for another game drive after high tea, following animal tracks and catching the golden light over the South Luangwa landscape. Enjoy sundowners as the beautiful African sun sets.
Once back in camp, gather around the open-air dining area for a delicious dinner.
End the day under a canopy of stars, with the sounds of hippos, nocturnal animals, and the distant roar of lions.
