Upon arrival in Johannesburg you will follow the signs to the bus terminal, where the hotel shuttle will pick you up and take you to your hotel for your first night in South Africa.

After breakfast you will return to the airport, where you will collect your rental vehicle. This is where your self drive adventure starts!
Travel towards Hazyview . Visit the highlights of the stunning Panorama route. Enjoy the surroundings and the beautiful scenery.
Towards the end of the afternoon you continue towards the tented glamping location, where you will be spending the night. Meals are available upon request. We can also upgrade you to a lodge if you rpefer.
Optional: Fly to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport en start your journey there! Tickets are not included in the price.
Time to explore Kruger Park with your rental vehicle. The park is easy to drive in, roads are in good condition and you can buy a map at the entrance. There are various rest camps and picnic spots in the park where you can stop for lunch or a drink. Remember to bring your passports when entering the park: you need proof of identification in order to be able to enter. In the warm months is is possibly a good idea to start your game drives early, most animals are more active when it is still a bit cool. A sunrise or sunset game drive in the park is included.

Today you will cross the border into Swaziland. De lodge is very helpful in arranging local activities. You will experience a very different atmosphere and mentality in Swaziland, people are extremely friendly and eager to help. There are plenty of things to choose from; candle factory, craft markets, nature reserves, hiking, cycling, plenty options!
Continue your journey towards KwaZulu Natal, the next destination is green and lush St Lucia. If you leave early enough, there might still be time to pay the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park a visit on the way. Home to the big 5 and many other animals, this game park is a bit more mountainous than Kruger, but roads are still easy to drive one.
St. Lucia is famous for its big lagoon, which is home to many crocodiles and hippos. We will arrange a 2-hour lagoon cruise on one of the days so you can experience this yourself. We highly recommend a day trip to the nearby IsiMangaliso Park, the combination of wildlife and immaculate stunning beach is definitely worth a visit!
Durban airport is an easy 2,5 our drive from St. Lucia. You hand in your rental car and will take a flight to Port-Elizabeth. Collect your second rental car here and drive to Addo National Park.
Addo Elephant Park is again well suited to drive in yourself. The guest house is located about 15 minutes from the Addo entrance and also offers game drives in an open 4x4 safari vehicle. We can arrange this for you if you would like to .

Travel further along the coast and start exploring the breathtaking Garden Route)! This stretch of road offers the opportunity to visit some beautiful remote bays and little villages; take the time to take an exit and go explore the surroundings!
Your accommodation is along the very dramatic coast line. You can walk along the suspension bridge above the river mouth. There are multiple other activities for you to choose from. For the adrenaline junkies there is the option to bungy jump off the Bloukrans Bridge, one of the highest bungy jumps in the world!

The next stop is Knysna. There are many activities possible; canoeing, in Wilderness, surfing lessons, mountain biking or try a SUP board. On day 2 you will go on a boat tour on the lagoon and the ocean, looking for whales, seals and dolphins. Don't forget to look for the tiny sea horses in the harbour!

You will drive towards the mountains to the small semi-desert town of Oudtshoorn. The ostrich farms are the main attraction of this stunning area. Visit one of the farms, it is really interesting and definitely worth it! The world-famous, impressive Cango Caves are also definitely worthy of a visit.
Accommodation is in safari glamping tents, equipped with everything you need! Meal packs can be ordered upon request and prepared by yourselves on your own braai or stove.
Time to enjoy some of South Africa's best wines! Spend 2 nights in Stellenbosch, one of the oldest towns in South Africa with a lot of atmosphere!
Let us book a wine tour or picnic on one of the wine estates, or use your rental car or an Uber to explore the area. The town centre is close by and houses many restaurants where you can enjoy a lovely supper.
Cape Town is all yours for the next few days!
Visit Table Mountain, Robben Island and Cape-Point. But there are also many other, less famous attractions that are worth a visit. Cycling through a township belongs to the options for example. Robben Island is a great outing, we do recommend to book this up front.
