Days 1 - 3: Cape Town

Welcome to South Africa! Meet & Greet by our representative. We will assist in exchanging money, collecting of your rental car and brief you regarding your upcoming journey. Continue to your first accommodation in Cape Town. With its multicultural charm, diverse city life and a great variety of outdoor activities, the “Mother City” has something to offer for every taste!

Days 4 - 5: Stellenbosch

Your next stop is Stellenbosch, the heart of South Africa’s wine region. Explore this historic university town and its surroundings, known for charming wine estates, oak-lined streets, and dramatic mountain scenery. Learn about the Cape’s wine-growing traditions and taste fine wines at one of the many beautifully situated wineries. In addition to wine tastings, Stellenbosch offers inviting cafés, galleries, and boutique shops. Optional activities such as a guided cycling tour through the vineyards or a meeting with a local winemaker can be arranged upon request.

Days 6 - 7: Clanwilliam

The Cederberg is a rugged mountainous region in the Western Cape, about 300 km north of Cape Town. It is known for dramatic sandstone rock formations, ancient San rock art, and unique plant life within the Cape Floristic Region. The area is also famous as the only place in the world where Rooibos grows naturally. Popular for hiking, climbing, and stargazing, the Cederberg offers remote wilderness and striking natural scenery.

Day 8: Namaqualand

Namaqualand is a semi-desert region in the Northern Cape, stretching along the west coast near the Orange River and the Atlantic Ocean. It is best known for its spectacular spring wildflower displays, when thousands of desert flowers bloom after winter rains, attracting visitors from around the world. Despite its generally dry climate, the region supports unique plant life and is an important part of the Succulent Karoo, one of the world’s richest areas for succulent plants.

Days 9 - 10: Fish River Canyon

Today you travel to the Fish River Canyon, one of the largest canyons in the world, located in southern Namibia. Carved by the Fish River, the canyon stretches about 160 km long, up to 27 km wide, and nearly 550 meters deep. It is a major natural attraction known for its dramatic desert scenery and challenging hiking routes, including the famous Fish River Canyon Trail.

Days 11 - 12: Aus

Today you travel to the quiet little desert town of Aus! One of the main attractions of this region are the wild Namib horses. They are the only wild desert horses in the world and there are many theories about their origin. Known for its stark, rugged landscapes, Aus today serves as a peaceful stopover for travelers exploring Namibia’s southern coast and desert scenery.

Days 13 - 14: Sossusvlei

Enjoy a hearty breakfast early in the morning before continuing on to Sossusvlei. After your arrival, enjoy the spectacular landscape that surrounds your desert lodge. During your stay, you have the opportunity to visit the highest dune, Big Daddy, and Deadvlei.  Many great photo opportunities await!

Days 15 - 16: Swakopmund

Today we continue towards the coast of Namibia and the charming town of Swakopmund, known for its unique blend of German colonial architecture and seaside charm. Situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Namib Desert, it offers a cool climate and a relaxed atmosphere. Try some of the adventure activities available around town or head to Walvis Bay.

Days 17 - 18: Etosha South

Have your camera and binoculars ready as you explore Etosha in your own vehicle! You will reach your next bush domicile in the wilderness in the early afternoon. This area is known for its open plains and waterholes that attract large numbers of animals, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and various antelope species.

 

Day 19: Otjiwa Reserve

Your journey will take you near Otjiwarongo, a small town known in the local Herero language as "beautiful place." The San and Damara were the first settlers of this area, and today a strong German influence still exists. Travelers in this region should definitely visit the local Cheetah Conservation Fund or the crocodile farm.

Day 20: End of Itinerary

Drive to the airport and return your rental car. Check-in for your flight back home.
