Pick up from Msembe airstrip or any other camp in the Park around lunchtime depending on plane schedules. A nice long game drive into the wilderness will ensue which may take up to three hours depending on the camp's current location. With snacks and refreshments en route we will arrive at the camp late afternoon or early evening and settle in after a warm welcome.
Overnight Base Camp
Early morning departure on foot after breakfast, then an approximately 10 km / 5 hr bush walk seeking out the highlights of the particular area we are walking in. Depending on what direction and distance we cover during the walk we will either return to camp on foot or be collected by vehicle for a freshly cooked meal waiting for us. For all Afternoon activities there is a choice, from learning about tracking, short walks into the vast Kopje and Inselberg systems (huge rock outcrops), specialist birding, and normal game drives to name but a few.
Overnight Base Camp
Another early morning departure on foot after breakfast as we push further into Ruaha's wilderness. Same distances and time involved as the day before with a return to the Base Camp for hot showers and a leisurely lunch. After lunch the usual afternoon activities will apply with a return to camp for campfire drinks and dinner.
Overnight Base Camp
Back out on foot again after an early breakfast this morning. We never walk the same route twice so an entirely new habitat and experience will be selected, and a full mornings exploration waits. A fair distance of 10-15 Km will ensue to finish up for lunch back at the basecamp with cooling showers waiting. Guests can then choose to doze in the shade of their tents or opt for the usual set of afternoon activities available.
Overnight Base Camp
After an early breakfast with a departure just after dawn, we tackle the bush on foot yet again for another full mornings walk in new country and terrain to arrive at the flycamp for a freshly prepared lunch. The usual afternoon activity choices will as always be available with a return to the Fly camp to spend another night.
Overnight Fly Camp
Depending on the group feel by this stage of the safari, the walking can continue as normal. However we often recommend for this day to try a full day game drive to rest tired legs. Armed with a bush lunch cooked en-route and unlimited by time, we can spend the day roaming the vastness of the Park by vehicle getting up close and personal to all it inhabitants. It is always so interesting to feel the comparison between walking and driving and the difference in animal behavior. With the ability to travel longer distances today we can see several different parts of the Park and still return home feeling that we have only just scratched the surface of this amazing Park. The day will finish up back at the Fly Camp.
Overnight Fly Camp
Todays walking takes us to newer areas! After finishing an early breakfast we depart from the flycamp for a short drive to get further afield. We will hop off from the vehicle to commence the mornings walk in now some of the most outer and inaccesible parts of the Park to then be collected again by the vehicle and returned to the Fly Camp in time for lunch. The normal afternoon activity choices will be available.
Overnight Fly Camp
A much deserved lie-in greets you on your last day and there is no hurry to make your way to breakfast. After your leisurely meal however we will make our farewells to the camp crew and make our way slowly to the Msembe area for the Scheduled flight, or a lunch time arrival at any other camp in the park
