Day 1: The Rift Valley

Depart forDeloraine House which is about 90 minutes away from Nairobi and about a 45 minute drive from Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its flamingos and Rhino. Deloraine House is a three hour drive from Nairobi or guests can take a Private Charter to Gogar Airstrip which is just a few minutes from the House. Arrive in time for Lunch. late in the afterrnoon, go for an afternoon horse ride. Guests can indulge in horse riding through the nearby mini forest, hill trekking, nature trails, bird watching or excursions in the nearby parks e.g. Lake Nakuru National park, Lake Bogoria or Lake Baringo. They can also relax in the pool after a day of activities.

Deloraine House Bush Home is situated on the western side of the Rift Valley at Rongai, 10 minutes off the main Nakuru-Kericho road. Deloraine House is a fine example early 20th century architecture and is an elegant 2 storey building.

Day 2: End of Itinerary

Morning Breakfast at 0730 hrs. Check out of the house via road enroute Lake Nakuru National Park.  Lake Nakuru was first gazetted as a bird sanctuary in 1960 and upgraded to National Park status in 1968. The Park has Kenya’s largest population of rhinos. The surface of the Lake Nakuru occupies about a third of the park. It supports a dense bloom of the blue-green Cyanophyte Spirulina platensis from which it derives its colour and is a food source for flamingos. During peak season over millions of flamingos and Pelicans congregate on the lake.

Arrive Nairobi before sun down. Clients will be transferred to their residences or the hotel.
