Day 1: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Welcome to Victoria Falls!  Upon arrival in Victoria Falls, you will be warmly welcomed by your English-speaking guide and transferred to your accommodation. In the afternoon, the impressive natural wonder itself will take center stage. A well-maintained footpath will take you to several viewpoints offering very different perspectives of the roaring waters – from the Devil's Cataract to the Main Falls and the spectacular Danger Point. Those who want to intensify this experience even further can admire the falls from the air on an optional helicopter flight – an unforgettable experience (optional).

Days 2 - 3: Kwando River

After breakfast, you will leave Victoria Falls and travel towards the Caprivi Strip – one of Namibia's most pristine and water-rich regions. Your route will take you across the border into Namibia, passing small villages, verdant river landscapes, and traditional round huts. In the afternoon, you will reach the Namushasha River Lodge/Lianshulu Bush Lodge, idyllically situated on the banks of the Kwando River. The lodge is a true paradise for nature lovers: from the terrace or the pool area, you can enjoy sweeping views of the river, where hippos and crocodiles often frolic. With a bit of luck, you will spot elephants lingering near the lodge or coming to the water to drink. You will end the evening with an atmospheric dinner overlooking the river, as the African night falls over the Caprivi.

DAY 3 - In the morning, you can take a game drive in the neighboring Bwabwata National Park. This little-visited park boasts a wealth of pristine wildlife – elephants, buffalo, antelope, and numerous bird species can be observed up close with a little luck. In the afternoon, a boat safari on the Kwando River invites you to experience wildlife from the water. From the boat, you will often see hippos, crocodiles, and an impressive variety of birds. The Caprivi Strip reveals its full magic, especially in the evening hours, when the golden light bathes the landscape.

Day 4: Okavango Belle

Your journey continues through the scenically diverse Caprivi Strip to the Kavango River, which is known as the Okavango from the border with Botswana. Upon crossing into Botswana, you find yourself in the fascinating Okavango Panhandle, the northwestern arm of the world-famous delta. Here, the river gradually begins to widen and shape the landscape – the water flows more slowly, and papyrus fields and water lilies line the banks. This region is the prelude to the unique natural wonder of the Okavango Delta, where the river splits into countless channels, lagoons, and islands. Here, your houseboat awaits for a two-night river cruise. During the downstream journey, you can observe crocodiles and hippos. Enjoy the view of the sun setting behind the banks.

Day 5: Okavango Belle

Today we enjoy pure nature. No appointments, no obligations – just the gentle drifting to the rhythm of the Okavango. A motorized dinghy is available for excursions to get closer to the shore or glide through the small channels. Perhaps you'll even dock at an island for a short hike? Alternatively, you can explore the delta the traditional way by mokoro – a special experience that is offered optionally.

Days 6 - 7: Greater Moremi

Today, the journey continues to the Moremi Game Reserve, located not far from the Moremi National Park. Those wishing to do so can book a scenic flight from Shakawe to Maun. (Supplement: USD 370 per person). Mogogelo Camp overlooks a large waterhole, which is also frequented by many wild animals, so with a bit of luck, you won't even have to leave the lodge to enjoy fantastic wildlife sightings. In the afternoon, a game drive in an open 4x4 vehicle will be arranged.

DAY 7 - Full-day safari to Moremi. We hope for fantastic game viewing in an open-top 4x4 vehicle in the Moremi Game Reserve! Chief's Island is the largest landmass within Moremi and was the richest hunting ground of the Batswana tribe before it was declared a game reserve by the tribe. We will observe the abundant wildlife, including elephants, hippos, buffalo, lions, and other wild animals, both in the Moremi Game Reserve and in the private concessions surrounding the park.

Days 8 - 9: Savuti - Chobe National Park

From Mogogelo, we head north into the famous Savuti section of Chobe National Park. This is an excellent area for large predators, with frequent sightings of lions and leopards, elephants, and plains game. We spend our time on game drives across the dramatic, acacia-covered plains and along the Savuti Channel, hoping to spot the lions and hyenas that make Savuti an outstanding destination for game viewing. We spend the night in our mobile tented camp, where after dinner we fall asleep to the sounds of the African bush.

DAY 9 - We spend the morning and afternoon on safari exploring the wildlife-rich Savuti area.
Wildlife viewing is typically best during the dry season, when the grass is short, vegetation is sparse, and animals therefore congregate around the few water sources. During the dry season, the Savuti landscape, with its long-dead, skeletal trees against the deep blue sky, offers magnificent photographic opportunities. These are especially impressive when the savannah animals retreat into the forest areas at dusk, stirring up large clouds of dust in the red light of the African sunset.

Days 10 - 11: Chobe River Front

Today's drive from Savuti to Kasane is both a transfer and a safari, as the region is home to a wealth of wildlife. We'll make frequent stops for interesting animal sightings before reaching our lodge in Kasane in the afternoon. Treat yourself to an afternoon of relaxation by the lodge's pool and reflect on your many experiences over a delicious dinner.

DAY 11 - The Chobe River flows gently along the northern border of Chobe National Park, attracting some of Africa's largest elephant herds. We'll embark on an early morning four-wheel drive game drive in Chobe National Park, and in the afternoon, we'll take a sunset safari boat cruise to watch the mighty elephant herds return to the Chobe River to quench their thirst.

Day 12: End of Itinerary
