Day 1: Johannesburg

Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport (JNB), one of our representatives will meet you, assist you through customs, and help you check into your hotel. Your hotel is conveniently situated by the airport, ensuring a safe and smooth transition.

Alternatively, you can opt for our private chauffeur transport, which will take you to one of the following upscale hotels, located just 20 minutes north of the airport (at an additional cost):

  • The Residence: A boutique hotel offering a luxurious and intimate experience.
  • Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff: A larger, renowned hotel known for its exceptional service and amenities.

Dinner can be enjoyed at the hotel restaurant (own account).

Day 2: Chobe River Front

Your day begins with an early start. Our representative will meet you at reception and assist with your check-in for the flight from Johannesburg to Kasane.

  • Departure: 11:40 AM
  • Arrival: 2:10 PM

Upon arrival in Kasane, you'll be warmly welcomed by your guide, who will then transfer you to your accommodation. Once you arrive, take some time to relax and freshen up. Your welcoming experience will continue with a refreshing drink, setting the tone for the adventures to come.

Later in the day, get ready for your first evening game drive, a thrilling opportunity to explore the stunning landscapes and wildlife of Botswana. As the sun begins to set, enjoy sundowners in the bush, creating a magical atmosphere. Afterwards, return to your accommodation for a delightful dinner under the African skies, an experience that will undoubtedly be a highlight of your journey.

Make sure to savour every moment and immerse yourself in the unique and captivating beauty of the African wilderness. If you have any specific preferences or requests, feel free to communicate them to your guide for a more personalized and memorable experience.

Day 3: Chobe River Front

Your day promises to be filled with exciting wildlife experiences. Start your morning with an early game drive, immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the African bush. 

After the game drive, return to the lodge for a delightful breakfast, savouring the flavours of the region. Take some time to relax in the African bush during the hottest part of the day, allowing yourself to fully appreciate the tranquillity and unique atmosphere of the surroundings.

In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely lunch before embarking on an afternoon boat safari. The boat safaris offer a different perspective on the rich biodiversity of the area.

As the day winds down, return to the lodge for a well-deserved dinner. Dining under the vast African skies adds a touch of magic to the experience. Make the most of these moments and relish in the incredible sights and sounds of the bush as you recount the day's adventures. Day 4: Okavango Delta

Following your morning activity and breakfast, it's time to transition to your next adventure. Prepare for a seamless journey as you head to the airstrip for your flight to the next camp. The convenience of air travel allows you to cover distances efficiently and provides a unique perspective of the landscapes below.

As you board your flight, take in the aerial views of the African terrain, marvelling at its vastness and beauty. The flight itself can be an exciting part of your journey, offering a different way to appreciate the diverse geography of the region.

Upon arriving at your next camp, you'll be greeted by a new setting and a fresh array of experiences. Whether it's the landscapes, wildlife, or cultural elements, each camp contributes its unique charm to your overall safari adventure.

Take this opportunity to settle into your new accommodation, meet the camp staff, and get acquainted with the surroundings. Depending on the camp's schedule and activities, you may have the chance to embark on an afternoon boat cruise.

Day 5: Okavango Delta

Your camp is situated in the magnificent Okavango Delta, a newly declared World Heritage site. 

Camp Okavango is a water-based camp where you can explore the Okavango Delta in a motorised boat or a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) for a quieter, more authentic experience.

For those who prefer to be on land, guided bush walks on nearby islands give you the chance to see larger animals up close.

    

Day 6: Moremi Game Reserve

Following your morning activity and breakfast, it's time to transition to your next adventure. Prepare for a seamless journey as you head to the airstrip for your flight to the next camp. 

With both game drives and water activities on the agenda, you'll have the chance to explore the hidden gems of the Moremi Game Reserve. Game drives in the private concession provide the opportunity to encounter wildlife in a more secluded setting, away from the busier areas. The possibility of spotting rare or less-seen species adds an element of excitement to each drive.

The water activities, including motorboat trips, offer a different perspective on the Delta's waterways and their unique ecosystems. Navigating these remote water channels allows for encounters with aquatic wildlife and birdlife, creating a serene and immersive experience.

    

Day 7: Moremi Game Reserve

Start your day with a morning safari activity. The cool morning air often brings heightened wildlife activity, and your experienced ranger will guide you through the landscapes.

The afternoon safari activities offer a continuation of your exploration, with different species potentially becoming more active as the day progresses. The private concession allows for a more personalized and intimate safari experience, with the flexibility to tailor your activities based on your interests.

End your day on a high note with a dinner experience beside a campfire under the vast African skies. The crackling fire adds to the ambience as you share stories of the day's adventures with fellow travellers and absorb the sounds of the night. 

Day 8: End of Itinerary

As your safari adventure in Botswana concludes, you'll embark on the final leg of your journey back home. 

Consider participating in a final game drive during the morning to make the most of your time in Botswana. Capture any last-minute wildlife sightings and relish the natural beauty. Enjoy a leisurely farewell breakfast at the camp, savouring the flavours of the region and sharing stories with fellow travellers.

Transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Maun International Airport. Upon arrival at Maun International Airport, check in with your connecting flight to Johannesburg. 

Flight Details:

  • Route: Maun (MUB) to Johannesburg (JNB)
  • Departure: 2:15 PM
  • Arrival: 4:00 PM

Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, proceed to check in for your onward flight. It's advisable to aim for a flight departure time after 8:00 PM to avoid rushing.
