Your adventure begins with a morning flight from Johannesburg to Nelspruit (Mbombela), the gateway to the world-renowned Kruger National Park. Upon arrival at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, you will be met by a friendly driver for your comfortable transfer to the stunning Kambaku River Lodge, your home for the next 4 nights.

Nestled on the banks of the Crocodile River, Kambaku River Lodge offers breathtaking views of the Kruger National Park, with the river serving as a natural border. As you arrive, you’ll be welcomed with warm hospitality and shown to your luxurious suite overlooking the river. Keep your eyes peeled – you might spot elephants, hippos, or even buffalo grazing along the riverbanks right from your veranda!

The rest of the day is at leisure, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the tranquility of this beautiful setting. Relax on your private deck with a refreshing drink in hand, take a dip in the pool, or simply soak in the serene atmosphere while observing the wildlife by the water.

As the sun sets, the sky transforms into shades of pink and orange, reflecting off the river – a magical moment to savor. Dinner is served at the lodge’s elegant dining area, where you’ll indulge in delicious local cuisine while listening to the sounds of the African bush.

A full-day safari begins with an early morning departure as the sun rises, maximizing wildlife viewing opportunities. You'll board an open safari vehicle with an experienced guide who shares insights about the animals and ecosystem. The cool morning air is perfect for spotting predators like lions and leopards returning from their night hunts, as well as elephants, buffalo, and other game starting their day.

After a mid-morning break at a rest camp for refreshments, the safari continues through diverse landscapes, from bushveld to riverbanks teeming with birds and hippos. A lunch stop allows time to relax before resuming the adventure, where more sightings of giraffes, zebras, and possibly rhinos await. The day concludes in the late afternoon as you return to the lodge, filled with unforgettable wildlife encounters and stunning scenery.

Fly to Johannesburg

After a delicious breakfast and check-out, you will be transferred to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. From there, you will continue your onward journey.
