Transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha Town (1 hour).

As most flights land very late afternoon or at night, we spend our first night close by so you can recover from your flight.

After a leisurely breakfast we depart to Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire has the greatest concentration of wildlife in Tanzania and in dry season the Tarangire River is a magnet for thirsty wildlife. Large herds of elephants and migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland gather. Not surprisingly, the predators follow. Tarangire is also known for its spectacular baobab trees and its breath-taking views of the Masai Steppe and the mountains to the south.

Early morning breakfast, then we depart the park with a morning game drive. Once out the park we head towards the rim of the Rift Valley with phenomenal views on route of Lake Manyara. We spend the night at the edge of the Ngorongoro concession.

After breakfast we start our trip back south through the Ngorongoro conservancy down into the world famous Ngorongoro Crater. Where we will spend the bulk of the day exploring the crater and its unique habitat. Spectacular animal life can be found throughout the year due to the permanent availability of grass and water. This is one of the world’s most iconic wildlife experiences. In the evening we head back up onto the rim of the Great Rift Valley.

Well its time to track that migration down, and at this time of year we expect them to be in Western Serengeti, So today we make our way there game viewing as we go, and exploring the world famous Serengeti.

Day exploring and game viewing

After breakfast we enter and make or way to the central Serengeti.  Each day there will be a morning and afternoon game drive. Should we wish to range further on one of the days, we can take a picnic lunch and enjoy a full day drive. 

After breakfast in Serengeti, we make our way towards the central Serengeti  airport, while enjoying our last game drive. A short flight takes us to Zanzibar, where we will transfer to our hotel in Stone Town.

Depending on the flights we may have the afternoon at leisure, where you can choose to enjoy the hotel and its views or take a stroll through Stonetown yourself. .

A full day at leisure to enjoy the beach and everything the hotel has to offer. The Residence offers a range of complimentary non-motorised activities, or you can sign up for a number of tours. I would highly suggest a day  and if you of blissful relaxation and a visit to the Spa for a little pampering. 

Morning at leisure. We have included a airport transfer in the afternoon as most flights depart later in the day. We have not included any return flights as there are so many options on where to go and how to go. So I would suggest that when booking your international flights you list the departure point as Zanzibar.

You also have various options, if you prefer. Like a ferry to Dar es Salem, or flying back to Kilimanjaro or Nairobi.
