Your days in South Luangwa are filled with adventure and relaxation. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the camp, with two daily activities tailored to your preferences. As the birthplace of the walking safari, Time + Tide South Luangwa is the ideal destination for adventurous travellers. With our award-winning guiding team, you are free to explore the park's diverse habitats. The area is renowned for its incredible predator activity, especially sightings of the elusive leopard. You can also expect to see large herds of elephants, along with rivers teeming with hippos and crocodiles. After a day of exploration, indulge in an in-tent spa treatment to unwind.

Your activities include:

• Day and Night Game Drives: Explore the park in open 4X4 vehicles with a maximum of six people per vehicle, ensuring everyone has a window seat for the best views.

South Luangwa National Park to Lower Zambezi

This morning, enjoy one last morning safari activity followed by a delicious breakfast. Afterward, you'll need to pack and check out before your transfer to the airport. From here, you’ll take a local flight to Lower Zambezi, where a driver from your lodge will be waiting to transfer you to your accommodation for the next few nights.

After checking in and settling into your room, relax and enjoy a leisurely lunch. In the afternoon, head out on your first safari activity in the breathtaking wilderness of the Lower Zambezi. Return to camp in the early evening, where you can freshen up before enjoying a delightful dinner under the African sky.

Exploring Lower Zambezi

A day in Lower Zambezi is perfectly designed to maximize wildlife sightings, with early morning, late afternoon, and night safaris timed for the animals' most active periods. Here’s how a typical day unfolds:

Your day begins with an early wake-up call around 6 am, followed by a light continental breakfast. As the sun rises, you’ll set off for your morning safari activity, which could be a game drive, a walking safari, or a boat cruise. This is one of the best times to see wildlife, as the animals are still active, and the temperature is cool, increasing your chances of spotting big cats like lions and leopards, returning from their night hunts.

After your morning safari, you’ll return to the lodge for a relaxing brunch. If you prefer to stay out longer in the bush, we can arrange a bush lunch to allow you more time in the wild. Otherwise, you’ll have some leisure time to relax at the lodge.

The middle of the day can be quite hot, so most guests prefer to relax after lunch. You can choose to cool off with a dip in the pool, enjoy a treatment at the bush spa, or simply unwind in your suite. Tea and cake are served at around 3:30 pm before you head out on your afternoon safari.

The afternoon safari is another excellent opportunity to spot wildlife, especially as predatory animals like lions and leopards begin to stir and prepare for the evening hunt. You'll return to the lodge just before dark, where you can freshen up for pre-dinner drinks and enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars.

If you’re up for more adventure, you may embark on a night game drive, where powerful spotlights help to locate nocturnal animals. This is the perfect time to search for elusive creatures like leopards, often spotted resting high up in trees. The night safari offers a completely different perspective of the bush, with its eerie sounds and sights.

End the day with drinks around the campfire, sharing stories of the day's adventures before heading to your room for a well-earned rest.

Lower Zambezi to Livingstone

This morning begins with one last safari activity before you return to the lodge for breakfast. Afterward, you’ll pack and prepare for your transfer to the airstrip for a local flight to Livingstone Airport. Upon arrival, a driver will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation for the next few nights.

After checking in, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. After days of early morning safaris and exciting adventures, this is your chance to relax and unwind. In the evening, enjoy a delightful dinner at the lodge's restaurant, rounding off your day in comfort.

Victoria Falls Guided Tour and Sunset River Cruise

After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Victoria Falls. Explore the Zambian side of this breathtaking natural wonder, where the paths of Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park lead you through lush rainforest. With the thunderous roar of the falls as your backdrop, take in the incredible views while your guide explains the history, geology, and cultural significance of the falls.

Return to your hotel in the afternoon for some leisure time. Relax by the pool or in the lounge, enjoying the tranquility.

Later in the afternoon, prepare for your sunset river cruise on the mighty Zambezi River. As you glide along the water, enjoy the sights and sounds of wildlife, such as hippos, crocodiles, and even elephants. Specially designed boats will take you to parts of the river otherwise inaccessible, making this an unforgettable experience.

After the cruise, return to your hotel in the early evening to freshen up before enjoying a delicious dinner.

Day at Leisure

Today is entirely at your own leisure. You may choose to relax by the hotel pool or indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment. If you're feeling more adventurous, consider a full-day safari in Chobe National Park, where you can encounter diverse wildlife. Alternatively, you could explore Victoria Falls from the Zimbabwean side and visit local markets for some souvenir shopping. The day is yours to tailor to your preferences, whether you want to unwind or embark on new adventures!

Departure Day

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, you'll have some time to pack and check out from the hotel. Depending on the time of your onward flight, you may have a chance for some last-minute shopping or to simply relax at the hotel. A transfer will then be arranged to take you to the airport for your flight home, marking the end of your memorable journey. Safe travels!
