PERTH TO KOJONUP TO PORONGURUP RANGE TO ALBANY
Depart Perth and head south along Albany Highway to the country town of Kojonup, where you can learn about Western Australia's rich indigenous culture at Kodja Place. Take a drive through the beautiful Porongurup Range to sample some of the region's cool climate wines, or take on the 3km round trip walk to the Granite Skywalk - a skywalk set into the side of a giant granite boulder - atop the Porongurup Range. Continue to Albany for the night.

ALBANY
Wake up to a magnificent sunrise and breakfast at Emu Point, then spend the morning exploring Mount Clarence and the National ANZAC Centre. Visit Torndirrup National Park's scenic lookouts at The Gap and Natural Bridge, then walk along Albany Wind Farm's coastal boardwalk, keeping an eye out for migrating humpback and southern right whales playing close to shore (June to September). Discover native Australian plants, animals and Australia's whaling history at Discovery Bay. Spend the afternoon sampling delicious seasonal produce, before enjoying dinner at one of the historic town's restaurants.

ALBANY TO DENMARK TO WALPOLE TO PEMBERTON
Travel along Scotsdale Tourist Drive or Mount Shadforth Scenic Drive, stopping for a swim in the beautiful bay of Greens Pool or to walk among the tree tops at the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk near Walpole. Take the coastal route to Northcliffe, where you can walk the Understory forest art trail. PEMBERTON TO MARGARET RIVER VIA BRIDGETOWN AND NANNUP
Start the morning by tackling one of the gigantic climbing trees in Pemberton - the Gloucester, Dave Evans Bicentennial and Diamond Trees. Take a scenic drive through the rolling hills of the Southern Forests and Valleys to Bridgetown. Enjoy Balingup's colourful shops, where you can browse for handcrafted pottery, herbal products and crafts. Drive inland to Nannup to admire the intricate craftsmanship of the world's largest timber timepiece, the Nannup Clock Tower. Travel through to Margaret River.

MARGARET RIVER TO AUGUSTA
Visit Augusta and enjoy fish and chips by the sheltered Flinders Bay. Nearby, visit the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia - Cape Leeuwin where the two oceans meet. Head underground and visit one of the limestone caves open to the public, then drive to the Margaret River township via the pretty Boranup Drive forest loop.

BUSSELTON TO BUNBURY GEOGRAPHE
Make your way up to Bunbury Geographe, first stopping off at the Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden jetty in the world. Travel east from Busselton into Donnybrook. Have fun picking fruit at local orchards in autumn. Experience the friendly, wild dolphins of Bunbury and enjoy shopping, followed by a beer or coffee along the cappuccino strip. Be sure to check out the vivid street art murals that grace the city's many walls before spending the night in town.

BUNBURY GEOGRAPHE TO PERTH
Spend the morning canoeing or spotting more than 300 species of wildflowers that bloom in Wellington National Park during spring. Alternatively, pat the kangaroos and view other Australian animals at the wildlife park in Bunbury. Drive through the Ferguson Valley exploring its cellar doors, boutique breweries and artisan galleries and stores, before heading to Harvey and Yarloop to sample some of the towns' local produce then venturing back to Perth.
