Day 1: Cape Town

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by an Albatros Travel representative who will assist you to the car rental kiosk to collect your vehicle. 

Please note the following information will be required on collection of vehicle:

  • Credit Card To Cover Additional Services /Liability (a rental amount will be taken at the start of the rental to cover any additional charges incurred during the rental. An authorization hold will be placed)
  • Home Address And Telephone Number
  • Passport and International flight ticket
  • Local Contact Details
  • Valid endorsed driver’s license

When you have completed all the vehicle collection procedures, self-drive to SunSquare Cape Town City Bowl. 

Fondly known as the 'Mother City', the vibrant city of Cape Town is a cultural melting pot rich in history and natural beauty. The next few days will be spent exploring Africa's top destination.  

On arrival at the hotel and upon completion of check-in procedures, freshen-up and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Explore the vibrant Long and Kloof streets with a plethora of restaurants for dining options. 

Day 2: Cape Town

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Long Street City Sightseeing ticket office for the Historic City Walking Tour (Old Town) departing at 10:30. Look out for the tour guide in their red uniforms with their red umbrellas to join the free walking tour. 

The 90 minute walking tour explores the city's rich history and heritage, from slavery to the apartheid era and the present day. Tour highlights include Greenmarket Square where slaves were once sold, City Hall where Nelson Mandela made his first speech as a free man and the Company Gardens which is home to the Cape's oldest living citizen. 

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in the City Centre (lunch is for your own account). 

After lunch, return to the Long Street City Sightseeing ticket office to join the Vibrant Bo-Kaap Walking Tour departing at 13:30. Situated at the foot of Signal Hill, Bo-Kaap is renowned for its colourful houses, think pink, green, blue and orange. Other tour highlights include Auwal Masjid which is the first and oldest mosque in South Africa, the Bo-Kaap Museum and the spicy delights of Cape Malay food.

After a day of walking, unwind on a relaxing sunset cruise while sipping on sparkling wine. Cape Town has one of the best locations to see the sunset from the sea. With the Atlantic Ocean stretching away from the majestic Table Mountain range, there is no better way to end the day. Toast the setting sun from the deck of a luxury vessel with a glass of local sparkling wine.

Day 3: Cape Town

Enjoy a delectable breakfast at the hotel and proceed on self-drive to Silvermist Estate for your Ziplining excursion. 

Take a scenic drive from Cape Town along the M62 taking you past Table Mountain and connect to M6 as you head to Hout Bay via Camps Bay. Enjoy the exquisite views of the ocean on one side and the mountain on the other. This stretch known as the Atlantic Seaboard is home to some of Cape Town’s most prestigious homes. Take the M63 in Hout Bay which will take you to Constantia.

On arrival at Silvermist Estate, you will be briefed on safety procedures and complete indemnity forms before departing on a short 4x4 drive into the mountain high above Constantia with a spectacular view of Cape Town. Cape Town Ziplines borders on Table Mountain National Park Reserve. You will be surrounded by the natural beauty, fauna and flora while ziplining across the 12 platforms. 

Sneak in an optional  wine tasting experience (time permitting) at either Silvermist Wine Estate or the neighboring Beau Constantia.

Lunch can either be enjoyed in Constantia or Simon's Town (lunch is for your own account). 

Glide across the ocean on the world's most advanced water bike this afternoon on an hour long guided tour. This is the most exciting and unique way to experience the ocean around Simon’s Town, famous for its marine life and spectacular views of the surrounding Table Mountain range.

The premium, non-motorized water bikes are eco-friendly and are designed to be used on the ocean. Due to the elevated sitting position, you do not get wet. These easy, no hassle water bikes are silent, very stable, do not emit emissions, simple to steer and do not require balancing. No previous experience or skills are required and this is a truly sustainable eco-adventure.

Time permitting, visit Boulders Beach, home to the unique and endangered African Penguins. This colony is one of a few in the world and the site has become famous and a popular international tourist destination.

Day 4: Cape Town

Depart early morning and self-drive to Gansbaai for your shark cage diving excursion (boat times to be advised 24 hours prior to departure).

On arrival at Gansbaai, enjoy some breakfast before departing for the diving adventure where you will come face-to-face with one of the ocean's greatest predators. Enjoy a chance to spot the Marine Big Five, i.e. sharks, dolphins, whales, seals and penguins. 

Upon return from the dive, enjoy some warm soup and bread as well an opportunity to purchase a professional video footage of the trip before departing on an hour's drive to Hermanus where you will enjoy a quad bike excursion. 

This  90 minute quad biking route takes you through the world-renowned vineyards of Hamilton Russell and Southern Right wineries. Immerse yourself in the magnificent views of Hermanus and Walkerbay half way through the trip.  

Head back to Cape Town for a evening at leisure after a day of adventure .

Day 5: End of Itinerary

After enjoying a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel and all checkout procedures are completed, bid farewell to the Mother City as you head to Cape Town International Airport to drop off the rental vehicle and connect on your onward flight (flights not included).
