The tour starts at 15h00 with a pre departure meeting at the hotel. The first night's accommodation is located on the banks of the Chobe River. Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery, magnificent sunsets and abundance of wildlife and birdlife. Relax on a sunset game-viewing cruise on the Chobe River. Departing after breakfast, travel through Botswana to the Nata area. Late afternoon visit the Makgadikgadi Pans for a truly unforgettable sunset over what remains of an ancient 6500km2 lake. Overnight Nata Lodge (or similar). (B & D)
A 3 hour drive takes you to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango delta and Moremi game reserve. Transferring from the overland vehicle into open 4x4 vehicles, drive to the camp situated at the edge of Moremi game reserve. Moremi is lush and varied, shallow flooded pans, plains and forests. It is one of Africa's finest areas for wildlife, with particularly high game densities including all major naturally occurring herbivore and carnivore species in the region and over 400 species of birds. Days are spent enjoying morning and afternoon game drives in the private concession and inside Moremi. Overnight Mogothlo Safari Lodge (or similar). (B & D. Lunch on day 5 included)
A 2 hour transfer takes you back to Maun. The afternoon is free for an optional 1 hr scenic flight over the vast Okavango Delta (own expense). Overnight Cresta Maun Hotel (or similar). (B & D)
Driving round the Okavango "Pan Handle", traverse to the north west of the Okavango Delta. Arrive at Swamp Stop where you will enjoy a 2 - 3 hour scenic boat trip to the accommodation site in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The following day is spent exploring the delta on boat rides, mokoros and guided game walks on the small islands of the Delta. Departing the Delta by boat, return to the vehicle and cross into Namibia. Continue to the Eastern side of the Caprivi Strip and arrive at the lodge overlooking the flood plains of the Kwando River. A lush area teeming with wildlife and birdlife. Overnight Camp Kwando (or similar accommodation). (B & D)
Transit through Botswana and travel to Victoria Falls - without doubt one of the greatest and most spectacular sights in Africa. The afternoon and following day are spent at leisure to browse the local markets, to experience the many optional activities on offer in the adrenalin capital of Africa including white water rafting, bungi jumping, microlighting/ airplane or helicopter flights over the Falls, and to visit the Falls (own expense). Overnight at Cresta Sprayview hotel (or similar). (B. Lunch & Dinner for own account).
