Day 1: Arusha

On your arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you will be picked with our professional guide, you will have a shortly briefing of safari, enjoying the view of Mount Kilimanjaro on the way, check in at the hotel then drive to local market.

A good place for your shopping in Arusha. Several small stalls under one roof, selling curios, carvings, beads, fabrics, table mats. A nice place to visit for a couple of hours. Vendors would sell more if they let you make your choice rather than being so insistent.

There’s an extensive selection of all types of souvenirs available. Many of the stalls have very similar or even the same items, so you just need to decide where to buy.

Day 2: Arusha, Mount Kilimanjaro, Masailand

In the morning, we will pick you at your hotel – an active day in Tanzania’s wilderness area awaits. The drive to Kilimanjaro takes you through a forest reserve, where you can look out for Colobus Monkeys in the trees. Your walk through the beautifully rugged landscape of Shira Plateau starts at 3,500 m above sea level. Get out of the car, lace up your shoes and take in the sounds, of Tanzania’s stunning wilderness. Along different trails and accompanied by a ranger, enjoy views of Kibo, Kilimanjaro’s highest peak, Hike at your own pace under the open sky along the way. It’s a moderate hike and you don’t need to be an athlete to be able to enjoy it. 

Drive to Olpopongi Masai village for hot lunch.  

On your arrival at Masai village meet with village representative for village briefing, enjoy local lunch, after lunch he will Welcome you to Olpopongiî Maasai Cultural Village & Museum - the first authentic Maasai Boma with Maasai-Museum in Tanzania. ìOlpopongiî provides a unique Maasai & Wildlife experience in the Maasai land. Our aim is YOU to share the authentic Maasai life & culture in a 100% traditional 

Spend your day in Maasai Village (Olpopongi) and share the day hours with native Maasai. Learn about Maasai hunting techniques and about incredible natural medicine late evening drive back to mt meru hotel.

Day 3: Karatu, Tarangire National Park

On this day you cross to Arusha town; the base town for safaris in the northern Tanzania and along the Arusha – Dodoma highway a scenic drive towards Tarangire. You will pass by a supermarket (if you wish) for some last-minute shopping of any personal effects that you may need then drive through a scenic Masai Steppe and arrive at Tarangire in 2 hours’ time or so. Enjoy game drive in the Tarangire National Park famous for its large herds of elephants and large baobab trees that dot the grassland. Lunch will be at a designated picnic site then afternoon game drives until sunset time to check in at a lodge for.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast transfer to Serengeti on route cross the Ngorongoro conservation areas try and catch up with the rare forest animals in the Ngorongoro forest like leopards and bushbuck, baboon’s elephant, pig etc. In the afternoon reach Serengeti national park.

The name Serengeti comes from a Maasai word ‘Serengeti’ meaning plains without end Apart from the wildebeests you expect to spot other animals including elephants, lions, cheetahs, the elusive leopards, zebras, elands and a lot of resident and migratory birds.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive to try and catch up with the rare nocturnal animal species as well as the early risers among the diurnal ones. It is a nice time to see animals within a close distance as most game like to line up at the road sides to escape the morning dew. After bush breakfast at picnic, you will then spend the day doing game drives for the whole day. true to the name of Serengeti you will explore vast stretches of African Savannah in search of the many animals that Serengeti has to offer. Apart from the wildebeests you expect to spot other animals including elephants, lions, cheetahs, elusive leopards, zebras, and a lot.

 

Day 6: Lake Magadi

This day you will wake up early for a last sunrise game drive in Serengeti national park. It is a nice time to say goodbye Serengeti with your majestic creatures of fauna and flora then back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast at the lodge, proceed with half day tour in Serengeti till afternoon enjoy lunch at the big acacia tree picnic site, after lunch you will transfer to Ngorongoro for overnight.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater

After Breakfast, you will descend early into the Crater floor for game drives in the Ngorongoro Crater. The earlier you descend to the Crater floor you see lots of animals like Black Rhinos with a little luck. Spend the better part of the morning exploring the Ngorongoro Crater until lunch time. Ngorongoro Crater with its 600 to 650-meter-high walls is like a natural zoo with the highest concentration of wild animals and it is here where you can even spot the Big Five even in one day if lucky enough. After picnic lunch which you will most likely take at the hippo poolside designated picnic site, proceed with the game drives till evening then you will drive up the Crater rim.     

Day 8: Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Eyasi

Start off early with your bushman guide to meet a group of resident Hadzabe people. Enjoy the Hadzabe Tour into the bush with the only hunter-gatherers remaining in the East African region. The Hadzabe speak a click-based language and move their encampments with the seasonal movements of the wildlife. Your guide is a member of the group so he will explain to you about their customs and their way of life. You will get a chance to hunt, track wildlife, make fire and even take honey from bee’s nests with the Hadzabe people.
Return to the picnic for lunch then afternoon proceed with the activity   

Day 9: Arusha, Lake Manyara National Park

The Manyara treetop walkway is the first and longest treetop walkway in Tanzania. / Treetop walk is 370m long and reaches a height of 18m above ground. These treetop platforms are perfect places to stop and view the surroundings. 

The beautiful forests you’re very likely to encounter more than a few blue monkeys (you guess which part is blue) and baboons who love to use the canopy as their playground. Apart from monkeys you can come eye to eye with a variety of birds such as the silvery-cheeked hornbill and several butterflies. If you’re lucky you might even see some of the bigger wildlife that hides in Lake Manyara’s forests. 

 proceed with canoe ride till late afternoon drive back to the lodge      

A 'Canoe Safari at Lake Manyara' is a fantastic chance to view Lake Manyara National Park from the water. explore the shoreline and spot a wide range of birds and animals up close. Hundreds of pink-hued flamingos, giraffes, elephants, buffalos, and other creatures can be seen grazing along the shorelines

Immerse yourself in the local culture during this cultural tour Mto wa Mbu. A local guide will walk with you through the streets of this African farming village, surrounded by beautiful nature. During this tour you visit an African school, church, market and banana brewery. A great way to get an insight in the daily life of local people.in the afternoon enjoy local African buffet lunch.

After lunch, drive to Lake manyara rift valley for zipline activities.

Experience the thrill of flying through the African sky! Zip between majestic baobab trees while taking in the stunning scenery of Tanzania. The zipline course has 4 exciting zips, and 5 unique eco-platforms.  The tour starts at the Tanzip office in Mto wa Mbu where you will have a safety orientation and be fitted with your harness. A short ride will take you through Maasai land to the Tanzip Zipline Adventure Park after these memorable adventures late evening you will drive back to Arusha.

Day 10: End of Itinerary
