Activities at Munyamadzi are custom-built and personalised for each Safari. They are suitable for families, individuals couples corporates, Birders, and ALL groups

We offer traditional safari activities - with a twist: you are guaranteed to not see any other tourists
Game Drives and Walking Safaris
You will have the opportunity to spot the Big Four, hyena, endemic Thornicroft giraffe, wild dog, roan, kudu, Chobe bushbuck, hippo, crocodile, impala, puku, and many other mammal species. Evening drives will include a visit to a 'secret' hill that offers spectacular sunsets looking over the Luangwa River towards the Bulonga Hills.
Birding
With such varied habitats, birding at Munyamadzi is superb. Take a drive through the Mopane and spot Lillian's lovebirds, green pigeons, Southern Ground Hornbill, various raptors, and the white-browed sparrow weaver before stopping at the Lagoon for a spot of lunch to see the lesser and greater jacana, herons, geese, stalks and other water birds. Bat hawks can be spotted flying past camp at night and the carmine bee-eaters seasonally nest near camp. Angolan pitta and black stork are also possible sightings during their migration times and there is a resident pair of green malkoha 20 mins walk from camp.
Project Excursions - wildlife monitoring, anti-poaching & Community
Looking to try something completely different? Then join our ecologist for a few hours and learn about the wildlife monitoring program and conservation science at Munyamadzi. If you'd like to meet our anti-poaching scouts and learn about their work, we can arrange for you to visit one of their camps and discuss their work with them. We can also arrange for you to visit the nearby communities, schools,s or Rural Health Centres for a cultural exchange experience.
A portion of the fees for these excursions will go towards the project you decide to visit
All activities are included in the price, as well as specialist Birding Guides/Rangers, and for our wellness and unwind groups, we will offer a Yoga or Pilates instructor.
