Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, you will be met by your tour representative then transferred to Sun City Resort just over two hours away. Depending on the time of your arrival, if the room is available, early check-in otherwise bags will be held in secure storage at reception, and rest of the day is at leisure. After breakfast you will drive for just under two hours to the Lesedi Cultural Village where you will discover the fascinating cultures and traditions of the people of Africa. You will visit five traditional homesteads of the Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi, Basotho and Ndebele tribes and experience their ancestral customs. In the Giant Ingoma (broad top drum), there will be a song and dance presentation by all five villages just before lunch is served - a Pan African Feast where the more adventurous can test their taste buds on crocodile, kudu or warthog. You will be transferred, just an hour down the road, to your hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg, for the evening. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. The multiple award-winning shopping centre, Sandton City, and the adjoining Nelson Mandela Square is minutes away by shuttle.

After breakfast you will be visiting the oldest surviving building in South Africa, the Castle of Good Hope, a bastion built in the 17th century. The rest of the morning is spent touring the Company Gardens, a sizeable botanical park in the heart of the city planted by European settlers in 1650, where the South African Parliament neoclassical building is located. You then head to the Bo-Kaap (formerly known as the Malay Quarter) where streets are lined with the instantly recognisable, multi-coloured houses. Enjoy lunch at a family-run restaurant serving traditional Cape Malay cuisine with majestic views of Table Mountain and the Mother City. The afternoon is spent on top of the most iconic landmark of South Africa, Table Mountain, which is also one of the NEW7WONDERS of Nature. You start off with spectacular 360-degree rotating views from the cable car, then the abundant views from the summit and the awesome display of very unique “fynbos” vegetation with a variety of over 2,200 species. The most common mammal found on the mountain, the “dassie” (pronounced “dussy”) or rock hyrax. On your descent, you will be transferred to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure.

This full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula begins with a drive of never-ending breath-taking scenery along the Atlantic Seaboard, stretching from the V&A Waterfront to your first stop in Hout Bay. From this quaint village’s fishing harbour, you will take a 40-minute cruise charter, past the famous Maori Bay Wreck, to the protected home of thousands of wild Cape Fur Seals - Duiker Island Seal Colony. You then journey, via Chapman’s Peak where there will be a photo-stop, to Boulders Beach to see the colony of vulnerable African Penguins in their natural habitat. You will visit nearby Simon's Town for lunch. Then, take in the countryside en-route to the southern-most point of the Cape Peninsula - Cape of Good Hope. There are three promontories that tower over 200m above the sea - Cape of Good Hope, Cape Maclear and Cape Point. At Cape Point you take the Funicular Railway to the old lighthouse and panoramic views at the summit. Evening at your own leisure.
