Day 1: Cape Town

Arrival at Cape Town International Airport where your driver will meet you. Transfer to the hotel with a stop at Signal hill for an unobstructed view of Cape Town.  

The Signal hill is 300m high and offers great views across the City Bowl and Table Bay and it’s a truly magnificent spot to sit peacefully and take it all in. Enjoy the city lights twinkling as the sun begins to set. It is also an excellent vantage point from which to admire the floodlights that light up the side of Table Mountain in the summer.

Check-in at the hotel and refresh before dinner.

Day 2: Cape Town

Table Mountain and City Tour 

Start the morning by taking the cable car up to the top of Table Mountain, one of the 7 wonders of nature. 

Table Mountain is the most iconic landmark of South Africa. It is also the country's most photographed attraction. There are about 2,200 species of plants found on Table Mountain and 1470 floral species.

Visit the Castle of Good Hope and Isiko Museum followed by Robben Island (3pm) after lunch.

Transfer by side car back to the hotel to refresh for dinner. 

Dinner at a restaurant in Camps Bay for own account. 

 

Day 3: Cape Town

Today we will venture deep into the wine country with a whole host of experiences woven into a magical experience. 

We will first transfer out into Paarl Mountain Reserve, and then board Jeep Wranglers with expert drivers, who will take us high up into the granite domes, that dominate the skyline of this reserve. A bedioun tent, a sommelier and a master chef will  prepare a sumptuous experience of wine and food pairing set in a secret corner of the reserve. 

Thereafter a helicopter will collect us and whisk us over the mountains and valleys to Grootbos nature reserve for a late afternoon single origin coffee and handmade pastries and macaroon high tea overlooking Walker bay before returning by helicopter along the Kogelberg Biosphere route with dramatic coastal cliffs quaint seaside villages and the majesty of False Bay to Cape Town. 

 

Day 4: Cape Town

Today is all about the famous Cape of Good Hope, but not to be missed is our form of travel. High end luxury sports cars, driven by expert advanced drivers, will whisk us around the coastline, to the most famous of meeting points of two huge and definitive ocean currents, that of the cold Benguela current, and that of the warmer Agulhas Current. 

Not to be outdone from the day before, we will board a high speed zodiac, at Millers Point, to be sped off along the inside coastal spine of False Bay, to the very tip of the Cape Peninsula. Soaring above us is the highest seacliffs in Africa, and the most powerful lighthouse in the Southern Hemisphere. 

We will perform a beach landing at Buffalo Bay, and proceed to unearth a "planted treasure" of personalised family photos in wonderful photoframes, hand made gifts and quirky items that mean something special to the guests themselves. 

These would of been shipped ahead of time to our offices in South Africa, with the buy in from all the family members. 

The person's birthday, or wedding anniversary, or milestone will be appropriately captured in all these gifts, even down to written cards from grandchildren that might be scattered across the continents. 

  

Day 5: Moremi Game Reserve

After breakfast we will transfer to Cape Town airport, for a quick check in and VIP lounge treatment, before boarding a direct flight to Maun, in Botswana. 

Upon arrival, our staff will escort the guests onto their short air charter shuttle for a 18 minute flight to Eagles Island in the heart of the safari regions of northern Botswana 

For the next 48 hours, we will be surrounded by the beauty of a world heritage sites, known as the Okavango Delta. guided boat, canoe and game drives are part of the experience, and on one of the mornings, we will organise a special helicopter flip to a remote island in the delta, as well as a option to do a guided horse safari, or a relaxing silver service picnic 

We will have a few trump cards up our sleeve to play, from visiting a village that we fund educational and health care processes out of the profits of the lodge and , also a surprise clue solving quest, much like the Amazing race, that will end up with a hand printed canvas of a a moment they enjoyed earlier in their stay in Cape Town, that will have been shipped up and hidden in the roots of a towering Baobab tree near the lodge. 

  

Day 6: Moremi Game Reserve

Yet another stunning day will be enjoyed in the company of expert rangers and guides, that epitomise Botswana's open heart hospitality. Guests will enjoy a boat trip and the option for a guided bush walk today, and also have the option to make a local village speciality called Seswa as part of the evening meal preparation. 

A local biologist and professor will be invited to join us for an interesting presentation on the Delta's incredible biodiversity and to speak about its fragile yet important role that the Okavango Delta plays in global conservation efforts. 

Day 7: Savuti - Chobe National Park

After the magic of the water based experiences in the heart of the Okavango Delta, we will fly 30 minutes north, into the heart of the Chobe National Parks, southern region.  This national park hosts the largest elephant population in one national park, in the world . 

Savute is this large expanse of savanna, dry river beds, waterholes, and magnificent granite hilltops, and huge giants known as Baobab trees. 

Our flight will land and a special surprise meal will be hosted on the guests private deck with a butler. He will relay a lovely legend on the history of the Savute, and whip out handwritten messages from your family back home, and even old friends or work colleagues. These letters will be wrapped up in the handwoven baskets that come from the local villages. 

Mid trip its time to reminisce about your precious friends and families back home, and what they mean to you, in the privacy of a meal on your deck. 

mid to late afternoon we will take our first safari drive and enjoy sundowners on the ridges that overlook the endless savanna of the Chobe national park, before returning to the lodge for dinner. 

At dinner, and "message in a bottle"will be delivered to your table, giving you a hint as to the safari experiences that lie ahead of you the next day, and a planned stop at ancient rock art paintings in the hills nearby. 

 

Day 8: Savuti - Chobe National Park

Morning and afternoon safari activities are the order of the day, with wonderful rangers and guides who will do their best to give you a good overall impression of this entire region. 

Day 9: Matetsi Private Game Reserve

After the morning game activities, check-out and transfer to Savute airstrip, before we fly north over the full length of Chobe National Park, and land at Kasane airport. We will then transfer over the border into Zimbabwe, and transfer deep into the Matetsi safari area, west of  Victoria Falls. 

Experience Matetsi magic from sunrise safaris to sunset boat cruises. There is a wide range of activities available within Matetsi Private Game Reserve, and Victoria Falls town offers additional activities catering for the most discerning culture seekers through to avid adventure enthusiasts.

This evening sample the mouthwatering local cuisine prepared by the private chef.

Day 10: Matetsi Private Game Reserve

Early morning game activity before breakfast, most likely a boat trip. In this time, we will relay the magic of the Fish Eagle and Tiger Fish, two of the most common species in the area. Our staff will have made a local carving just for you, with a handwritten message, to enhance the personalisation of a once off gift, and a special farewell message for your last night on African soil. 

Spend the rest of the morning relaxing before taking a Tour of the Falls on the Zimbabwe side. 

Enjoy Africa’s deep heritage of traditional healing with a selection of massages that use holistic therapies and all-natural, eco-friendly ingredients and essential oils for relaxation, recharging or detoxing. Otherwise, opt for a manicure or pedicure. Sit back and relax while your hands and feet are pampered.

The Victoria Falls – . It’s a truly awe-inspiring experience – the sight, the sound, the smell; the humbling feeling that here indeed is Nature’s Supreme Masterpiece. 

Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for a memorable farewell dinner under the African stars. 

Optional Tour - Livingstone Island tour 

Livingstone Island is a 5-8 minutes boat ride from the Royal Livingstone Hotel and is located in the middle of the Zambezi River right on the edge of the Victoria Falls just before the water thunders down a 103 metre drop.

Day 11: End of Itinerary

Enjoy the last early morning game activity before preparing to depart for Victoria Falls airport. 

13h55 depart Victoria Falls for Johannesburg where you will connect with you International flight. 

Our VIP meet and greet staff, have one more trick up their sleeve. You will be met on the plane, and fast tracked, like a president or head of state through passport control and to your next flight. In this process a final personalised gift, and message from loved ones, will be added to your boarding pass pack, and you will be able to enjoy a final touch that frames the entire trip that has been created around making it a true memory, for celebrating your milestone!
