Day notes

Upon your arrival into Entebbe’s International Airport, you will be met airside as you descend the steps of your international arrival flight, after which you will be led to the VIP lounge whilst immigration formalities are completed. After this, you will collect your luggage and clear customs and be introduced to your driver, who will transfer you to your overnight accommodation at the Kampala Serena Hotel which is approximately 1.5 hours away by road. Overnight, you’ll be staying at the Kampala Serena Hotel on a room & breakfast basis.

Day notes

After breakfast this morning at the Kampala Serena Hotel you will be transferred by the Entebbe and to the airport to connect with your private charter flight to the Kihihi Airstrip in a Cessna C208. On landing at Kihihi Airstrip, you will be met by a vehicle and driver that will transfer you to the Ishasha Wilderness Camp, the drive to the camp will take approximately 1.5 hours.

After lunch at the Ishasha Wilderness Camp, you will head out for game activities within the National Park, followed by a sundowner. You will be staying overnight at the Ishasha Wilderness Camp on a full board basis.

Day notes

Once you’ve finished breakfast at the Isasha Wilderness Camp, you will be driven for approximately 3.5 hours to Bwindi Buhoma with game viewing en route. Upon arrival at Buhoma, you will meet with your walking guide and start a 4-5-hour Ivy trail walk/hike. The initial part of the trail is a gentle and flat walk up to the waterfall junction. After the waterfall junction, the train continues to the resting huts where you will take a break and enjoy your packed lunch.

After lunch, you continue to the Ivy River where you’ll cross the river on a traditional/local bridge that marks the end of the primary forest, heading into the buffer zone where there are tea plantations. The last section of the walk is a medium to hard hike bringing you to the Nteko Village where a vehicle and driver will await you for the transfer to Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge which is approximately 35 minutes away. On the walk, you’re very likely to see black & white Colobus monkeys, red tailed, blue and L’hoest monkeys, yellow backed duikers, bush backs, myriad bird species, bush pigs and rarely chimpanzees!

Overnight you’ll be staying at the Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge on a full board basis.

Day notes

This morning, after a leisurely breakfast you’ll be driven by road to Sabyinyo, crossing the border into Rwanda en route. The drive will take approximately 5 hours. Upon arrival at the Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge you will have the afternoon at your leisure.

Overnight you’ll be staying at the Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge on a full board basis.

Day notes

After an early breakfast at Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge, you will be driven to the Parc National des Volcans headquarters to receive a briefing and commence your gorilla trek!

After the trek, you’ll enjoy lunch at the Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge. After lunch, you will be driven for approximately 2.5 hours to the city of Kigali in Rwanda for your overnight arrangements at the Kigali Serena Hotel.

In Kigali today, you will enjoy the This is Africa tour where you visit local shops and businesses to learn more about the everyday life of the residents of Kigali. After this tour, you’ll be transferred to the Kigali International Airport to connect with your onward international arrangements.
