Rincon de la Vieja Volcano Park Las Pailas - Oropendula fall Hike
Highlights: In Rincon de la Vieja you walk past mud pools in various shades of colors in boiling volcanic water! Excellent destination for wildlife!
This morning you will walk the 3.5-km Las Pailas circular path through the tropical forest to enjoy the best views of the volcano, incredible nature, volcanic activity, and wildlife. The park is home to more than 300 species of birds, and many other animals.
Oropéndola Waterfall will most likely make your jaw drop. Set in a gorge along the Río Blanco River, the waterfall bisects a craggy rock wall and tumbles for 82 feet before crashing into a most inviting turquoise pool. Swims here are refreshing and heavenly; sunrays drench the water with warmth and light, there are shallow areas that are perfect for wading, and the entire place feels secluded.

Today’s adventure combines the thrill of white-water with the beauty of nature. Expert and certified guides will provide a briefing before you set off down the Tenorio River in the foothills of the Guanacaste volcanoes. Rafting the nearly 20 kms of class III and IV rapids in the very pristine and beautiful Tenorio river is a special treat indeed! A delicious lunch will be provided following the adventure.

Tenorio River White Water Rafting Class III & IV
The beautiful Tenorio River is known as the best rafting river in Guanacaste. The pure white-water flows from Tenorio Volcano in the Guanacaste Mountain Range. The rafting route combines nearly 20 kilometers of rapids with magnificent landscapes surrounded by tropical forest. No experience is required but good effort is needed on this world-famous class III and IV river. A delicious lunch will be provided to fuel the energy burned on the way down. Our staff will provide ample instruction and guidance to ensure you feel confident and our modern and certified equipment helps you ride the rapids smoothly.
