Morning transfer from Cape Cadogan Hotel to Robben Island ferry for the short sailing across to Robben Island. Unesco declared Robben Island a World Heritage Site in 1999. Robben Island is located in Table Bay, and stands some 30m above sea level. Robben Island has been used as prison and a place where people were isolated, banished and exiled to for nearly 400 years. During apartheid many Black people were kept on Robben Island as political prisoners. Former President Nelson Mandela was kept there. The prison internationally notorious for its harsh conditions and when the political prisoners of the apartheid government were released Robben Island became a symbol of the strength of the human spirit.
Afternoon visit to the Zeitz MOCAA contemporary museum. With over 100 galleries, spread across nine floors, the museum displays cutting-edge work in its permanent and special exhibitions.
Dinner at Black Sheep Restaurant.



Collection from hotel and transfer to Van der Stel Manor. On the way we will stop at Villiera Wines and visit their cellar. The timing should be perfect to see the morning harvested grapes come in and begin processing (January Arrivals)
From Villiera we will visit Solms Delta Wine Estate for lunch at Fyndraai Restaurant, followed by a tour of the Museum van de Caab and Music van de Caab centre. The purpose of the museums is to ensure that disadvantaged communities from the farm and surrounding areas can understand and participate in the interpretation of their own histories and cultures. The museum, which is located in the farm’s original wine cellar dating back to 1740, gives a voice to the individual indigenous and slave people who have lived and worked on the farm from pre-colonial times to the present. We will finish our visit at Solm Delta with wine tasting.
Transfer to Delaire Graff Wine Estate with its spectacular views for dinner at Indochine Restaurant before returning to Van der Stel Manor.



Morning collection from hotel for a visit to Babylonstoren one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms in the Winelands for a guided tour of its beautiful gardens. It has a fruit and vegetable garden of great beauty and diversity, as well as unique accommodation, fine food and wine, and a sense of wellbeing. Lunch is taken at the Greenhouse restaurant. After lunch we continue to Glen Carlou for wine tasting and a personal tour of their cellars. Transfer to Le Quartier Francais in Franschhoek for overnight accommodation and dinner at Petite Colombe.



Morning collection from hotel to visit the Franschhoek Motor Museum at L’Ormarins Wine Estate. The museum is a must-see South African venue. Showcasing over a 100 years of automotive history, the collection exceeds 220 vehicles – ranging from an 1898 Beeston motor tricycle to a 2003 Ferrari Enzo supercar. Wine tasting, specifically the renowned MCC wines will be held at the historic Manor House.
Afternoon at leisure to explore Franschhoek. Galleries and antique shops fill the tree-lined streets, and vineyards established more than 300 years ago cascade over the hills just outside town.
In the evening we will transfer for more wine tasting and dinner at La Motte Wines, another of the fine wines emanating from this area.



Morning collection for wine and cupcake pairing at Delheim Wine Estate followed by wine tasting at Muratie wines. Lunch at The Table Restaurant at De Meye Wine Estate.
Afternoon at leisure with options for a walking tour of the Fynbos Nature Reserve or Jonkershoek waterfalls near Stellenbosch or a walking tour of Stellenbosch University and Botanical Gardens.
Travel back to Cape Town for overnight at Cape Cadogan Hotel with dinner at Pot Luck Club.



Day at leisure in Cape Town. Flexible arrangements according to flight schedules. Optional tour of Bo-Kaap area or Table Mountain if time allows.
Transfer back to Cape Town International Airport for returns flight
