Days 1 - 4: South Luangwa National Park

Can do 3 options to get the Big Lagoon Camp.

  1. Fly from Lusaka International Airport to Mfuwe Airport then a vehicle will collect you and you drive north about 2.5 - 3hrs to the crossing point to then walk across the Luangwa River and walk into camp. This is then done in the reverse at the end.
  2. Fly from Lusaka International Airport to Mfuwe Airport, then get on the RASair, the flight for Remote Africa and fly to their airstrip in the north. Transferred by vehicle to the crossing point on the river and then walk into camp. This is then done in the reverse at the end.
  3. Pvt Charter flight from Lusaka and fly into the Remote Africa airstrip and then get transferred by vehicle to the river to cross over and then walk into camp. This is then done in the reverse at the end.

Days will be spent walking looking for wildlife on foot and guided exclusively by James, only park that has Giraffe.

Alternate camp is Musekese Camp which lies in the North Central region of the Kafue, so you would charter from Lusaka to Lufupa airstrip and then boat towards camp transfer time in all is about 2h40 with the flight, boat and short vehicle transfers.

  • In Musekese activities are all private except the walking but driving and boating will all be private.

Days 5 - 8: Northern Kafue

Fly for Mfuwe airport to Lusaka and reconnect with a charter plane to fly you to the Busanga Plains in the Kafue National Park to begin your stay in the Northern Kafue.

  • Private activities in the vehicle and can include an all day drive.
  • enjoy the famous Busanga Plains looking for some of the largest lions in Africa, large herds of Sable, Roan antelope, huge herds of Red Lechwe, fantastic birding and a large diversity of wildlife found up here.
  • transfer will take you to the Busanga Plains airstrip to charter flight to Jeki airstrip in the Lower Zambezi National Park to begin your private safari in the Lower Zambezi.

Days 9 - 12: Lower Zambezi

In Kutali Camp you will enjoy the splenours of the mighty Zambezi. with various activities:

  • Privately guided by vehicle and boat.
  • Walking and canoing are not private due to logistics but can be worked around to make them private if no other clients in camp want to walk. Walking is phenomenal in this area.
  • Great for leopard and lion in this area as well as elephant and buffalo.

Day 13: End of Itinerary

Depending on international flight arrangements, either relax in camp before you journey out or a morning activity before heading out.

Final journey out will be a transfer by vehicle to Jeki Airstrip to then charter flight to Lusaka International Airport.

Alternate flight option is with Proflight Zambia on a scheduled flight.
