Day 1: Johannesburg

On arrival at OR Tambo International airport please collect your luggage and walk to the arrivals hall where you board the complimentary shuttle bus service to City Lodge OR TAMBO Airport Hotel where you spend 01 night on a bed and breakfast basis (01 x Standard Room).

Day 2: Pilanesberg National Park

After breakfast you will be transferred to Morokolo Game Lodge where you spend 02 nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis including high tea and twice daily game drives (01 x Room).

Day 3: Pilanesberg National Park

Two professionally-guided Big 5 vehicle safaris (included in the room rates) each day will keep you in awe of the splendid natural beauty of the Black Rhino Reserve and the Pilanesberg National Park. Elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, buffalo, wild dogs, kudus, wildebeest, warthogs and spring hares are but a few of the more commonly seen animals.

Walking safaris are available. The walk focuses on locating and observing the inhabitants of the Black Rhino Game Reserve from a different angle - on foot. Guests are accompanied by a qualified guide who will share his/her extensive knowledge and experience on both fauna and flora. Excursions depart in the early morning, or early afternoon.

Day 4: Manyeleti Private Game Reserve

After breakfast you will be transferred to OR Tambo International Airport for your scheduled flight to Hoedspruit. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp where you spend 02 nights on a full board basis including twice daily game viewing activities (01 x Standard Suite).

Day 5: Manyeleti Private Game Reserve

Two game drives a day are offered to all our guests. Accompanied by a skilled ranger and tracker, you can expect to encounter a diverse range of animal and bird species. Since this is a Big Five reserve, encountering lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo is possible over a two-day safari.

While seeing big game is always exhilarating, there are many other smaller species that are also captivating, and birding enthusiasts will be delighted at the approximately 350 species of bird recorded on the reserve. Throughout the day, it’s likely you will see wildlife such as nyala antelope, Vervet monkeys or even a few of the Big Five.

19:00 arrive back at lodge with time to freshen up before dinner

Day 6: Hazyview

After breakfast and your last game drive you will be transferred to Hippo Hollow Country Estate where you spend 02 nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis (01 x Garden Cottage).

The afternoon you enjoy with Elephant Whispers, that is within walking distance from your accommodation, for 1 hour 30 minutes Elephant Interaction and Elephant Ride. 

Day 7: Hazyview

The following morning you are collected for a Full Day Panorama Tour inclusive of entrances and lunch and the evening a African Cultural Dance with Dinner included. 

Day 8: Missing Point

This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Nelspruit for your scheduled flight to Livingstone. On arrival please collect your luggage and walk to the arrivals hall where you are met by your private guide and transferred across the border to The Kingdom Hotel where you spend 02 nights on a bed and breakfast basis (01 x Standard Room).

Day 9: Missing Point

This morning you will be collected for a guided tour of the falls

First stop is the Big Tree – a massive baobab many hundreds of years old with a girth of some 22 metres. The tour continues on to the Falls themselves, starting at Livingstone’s statue and Devil’s Cataract and proceeding through the rain forest to Danger Point. The total walk is 3kms with many spectacular view points along the way. Raincoats are available for hire at additional cost.

This afternoon you will be collected for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi including light snacks and local drinks.

Transfer to the jetty for a cruise along the Upper Zambezi in the late afternoon. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Zambezi River in relaxation, with local wines, beers, soft drinks and snacks served during the trip. This trip often offers a magnificent chance to witness a spectacular African sunset. Cruise back to the jetty for transfer back to the hotel after sunset.

Day 10: Kasane Forest Reserve

After breakfast you are transferred across the border to Botswana to Chobe National Park where you spend 02 nights at Elephant Valley Lodge on a full board basis including scheduled activities (morning boat cruise and afternoon game drive), all meals, snacks, tea & coffees, local drinks, bed levies, park entrance fees, waters and return road transfers to and from BBK airport. (01 x Valley Tent).

Day 11: Kasane Forest Reserve

Enjoy scheduled activities:
Morning boat cruise and Afternoon Game Drive in Chobe National Park. 

Day 12: Pretoria

After breakfast and final morning game drive you are transferred to BBK airport (Kasane) where you board your scheduled flight to OR Tambo International Airport. On arrival you are met and transferred to Castello Di Monte where you will spend 01 night on a bed and breakfast basis (01 x Classic Room).

Day 13: The Blue Train

Today you are transferred to Pretoria Station to board The Blue train on which you will spend 02 nights including all meals, high tea, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and off-the train excursions excluding French champagne, caviar and external telephone calls. (1 x Deluxe Suite with Shower)

Register and check-in at The Pretoria Station Lounge.  Guests enjoy pre-departure snacks and drinks.

Boarding commences.  Butlers usher guests to their suites. Suite orientation done by butlers.   Boarding concludes at 18:15

The Blue Train departs from Pretoria Station (Will depart earlier once all guests have checked-in)

Day 14: The Blue Train

The Blue Train arrives at Kimberley Station.  Guests disembark and gather at the railway museum, from where they will be ushered to a bus, which transfers them to the Kimberley Open Mine Museum.

10:00
Guests arrive at the Open Mine Museum for a tour of the mine. Guests are taken to view interesting and historical sites.  Guests are also taken onto an enclosed ramp on the edge of the Big Hole.

12:30
Guests depart from the Open Mine Museum for Kimberley Station. At Kimberley Station guests are greeted with a glass of sherry. The sherry glass engraved with The Blue Train logo is a memento for guests to keep. 

13:00
The Blue Train departs Kimberley Station for the Southbound journey to Cape Town. After this exciting tour, guests are welcome to refresh themselves and enjoy aperitifs served at any one of our lounges.

Day 15: Cape Town

The Blue Train arrives at Cape Town Station.  Butlers usher guests to The Blue Train Lounge 

You are met and privately transferred to The City Lodge V&A Waterfront where you spend 04 nights on a bed and breakfast basis (01 x Standard Room).

You have the afternoon at leisure. 

Day 16: Cape Town

After breakfast you will be collected for private full day Cape Peninsula Tour. Inclusive of lunch. 

Drink in the Cape Town’s magnificent coastline, fynbos-covered mountains and indigenous wildlife on this scenic adventure. Climb the iconic lighthouse at Cape Point, get up close and personal with penguins at Boulder’s Beach and admire rare plants at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

Day 17: Cape Town

After breakfast you will be collected for a private full day Wine Countryside Tour including standard lunch.

Drink in both the stunning views and world-renowned wines in the breathtakingly beautiful Winelands region. Explore the picturesque, historic towns of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl, each with something unique to offer.

Itinerary Includes:

  • The quaint, university town of Stellenbosch with its unique historical architecture
  • Franschhoek with its majestic mountain vistas
  • Paarl, home to the Afrikaans language
  • Drive past natural and historic heritage sights such as the Afrikaans Taal Monument

Day 18: Cape Town

After breakfast you are collected collected for a half day private City and Table Mountain tour plus half day Scheduled Robben Island Tour. 
Enjoy breath-taking views from the cable car and the summit of one of the seven natural wonders of the world: Table Mountain. Be moved by Cape Town’s colourful past when you visit historic landmarks such as the Malay Quarter and the Castle of Good Hope.

Day 19: Knysna

Today you begin your Private Overland Journey along the Garden Route with Paradise Touring Private guide and vehicle.  

Today you will be transferred to Parkes Manor in Knysna where you will spend 01 night on a bed and breakfast basis (01 x Lagoon Facing Room). All excursions and lunch for your own account. 

 

Day 20: Stormsriver

Today you will be transferred to Tsitsikamma Village Inn where you will spend 01 night on a bed and breakfast basis (01 x Premier Room). All excursions and lunch for your own account. 

Day 21: Port Elizabeth

 

Today you will be transferred to Port Elizabeth where you will spend 01 night at Singa Lodge on a bed and breakfast basis (01 x Luxury Suite). All excursions and lunch for your own account.  

Day 22: End of Itinerary

After breakfast you will be transferred to Port Elizabeth Airport for your scheduled flight to OR Tambo International Airport.
