On the first day, we will meet in Maun in time for our onward flight to the Okavango Delta for a 4 nights stay at Duba Explorers Camp.
On our morning and afternoon game drives we can expect extraordinary wildlife sightings of lion, buffalo, red lechwe, blue wildebeest, greater kudu and tsessebe. Elephant and hippo trudge through the swamps and leopard, and some nocturnal species, can be sighted as well. Birds abound, and the area is a birdwatcher’s paradise.
Great Plains Conservation is the only operator on the concession, offering guests the ultimate opportunity for private wildlife sightings.
After morning drive we will be transferred to the airstrip in time for the flight to the Selinda Game Reserve. We will spend the next 4 nights at the lovely Selinda Explorers Camp.
Selinda Explorer Camp sits in prime predator habitat, where we can expect to see lion, leopard, cheetah and, if we are lucky, the African Wild Dogs. Other sightings we can enjoy are giraffe, buffalo, roan and sable among others. There is phenomenal bird life along the Spillway’s banks for those looking for some ‘lifers’.
Our days will be filled with morning and afternoon game drives as well as plenty of time to relax and unwind under the cool shade of the trees.
At this camp, we have booked two Luxury Tents which can be used for the shared rooms and a large Family Tent with 2 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom for the 2 single travelers. Alternatively, if the group is made up of 2 couples travelling together and 2 single travelers, the couples will be able to share the Family Tent.
Today marks the end of what will no doubt be an extraordinary safari in a beautiful part of the world.
After morning drive, we'll board the light aircraft for the flight back to Maun where the trip with Grant and Helena will come to an end. Taking with you good memories and hours worth of photographs to edit and browse through when you are home.
