- Drive to Akagera National Park, Along the way you will see different plantations, busy daily lifestyle of Rwandan local people.
- On arrival: briefing behind the scenes about history of the park and development of conservancy and wildlife,
- Check in and lunch at the lodge
- In afternoon enjoy a thrilling boat trip on the lake as a result you will be able to see and get closer to some of the water loving animals you should expect include hippos, and crocodiles. Occasionally you may see some buffaloes, elephants and antelopes on the shores which would have come to drink water.

SAFARI THROUGH THE PARK TO THE NORTHERN PLAINS
- Morning breakfast
- Explore the park by a safari with local ranger to the northern part.
- This safari gives you a full day with beautiful scenery, viewpoints and great wildlife like buffalos, elephants, antelopes as elands, Topi, Masai giraffes, monkeys, savannah birds, civets, leopards, hyenas, and cats as serval cats and lions. You will be accompanied by the local ranger who is knowledgeable about the flora and the fauna that is found in the park and will be explaining more on your safari.
- Picnic lunch in the park
- Check in at the lodge and enjoy the view over the plains with sunset.
MORNING SAFARI – TRANSFER BACK TO KIGALI
- Early morning wakes up and have a coffee/tea and some fruits.
- Enjoy an early morning safari with local ranger spotting for wildlife in the park, this safari holds a full surprise as nature reveals it’s treasures in form of wonders that are so scenic, the wildlife like buffalos, antelopes including; the elands, topi, Masai giraffes, monkeys, savannah birds, civets, leopards, the hyenas, as well as the serval cats including lions..
- Hot breakfast at the lodge / Transfer back to Kigali
- Afternoon leisure at the lodge

TRANSFER TO SOURTHERN PART OF LAKE KIVU
- After breakfast you will have a transfer to southern part of Lake Kivu
- Picnic lunch on a nice spot with view – own account
- Proceed to and check in at your lodge
- Afternoon relaxation at the lodge
- Optional: Afternoon boat tour to Gihaya island in Lake Kivu and meet the local women at the island and see the local lifestyle .
PRIMATES TREKKING AND EXPLORE THE FOREST – CANOPY WALK
- Early morning breakfast
- Transfer to the Park office in Nyungwe N. P for briefing and meet your local ranger
- Hike through the forest with local ranger searching for primates. Nyungwe has 13 primates which include Angolan Colobus, L’Hoest monkey, Owl faced monkey, Blue monkey, Dent’s Mona Monkey, Vervet monkeys.
- Enjoy your lunch
- In afternoon enjoy the forest in 2 hours hike and explore the 60m long canopy walk
TREKKING WITH RANGER TO SPOT THE CHIMPANZEE IN THE FOREST – SCENIC DRIVE TO KIBUYE AND BOAT TOUR
- Early morning breakfast
- Transfer to the Park office for briefing about your hike in Nyungwe National Park.
- Chimpanzee trekking with local ranger and porters to search for chimpanzee sin the forest
- Lunch at the lodge and check out
- You will have a beautiful coastline drive along Lake Kivu to Kibuye
- Check in at your lodge
- Enjoy a boat tour on the lake in the afternoon .
Day at leisure at Lake Kivu.

MORNING COFFEE TOUR AND CONGO NILE TRAIL HIKE – TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK AND VISIT DIANE FOSSEY MUSEUM
- After your breakfast you will visit a coffee washing station with a short tour and Rwandan coffee tasting,
- Continue with exploring the Congo Nile Trail with stunning views of the Lake Kivu coastline by hiking with a local guide
- Lunch on the way on own account and proceed by a transfer to Musanze (Volcanoes National Park)
- Visit Diane Fossey (Karisoke) museum which will give you information about the park and protection of mountain gorillas.
- Check in at the lodge
- Optional: Explore the area (with guide) by e-bike or mountain-bike.
CANOE TRIP AT MUKUNGWA RIVER – VISIT LOCAL COMMUNITY VILLAGE
- Morning breakfast
- Morning check out the beauty of the Volcanoes from the water by private canoeing over the Mukungwa River. A professional guide will assist you in his/her canoe or join you in the canoe so that you do not have to peddle. From the river you will see great birdlife, local villages and people and the impressive volcanoes.
- Lunch at your lodge
- Afternoon visit a local culture village and join local people in making banana beer. This activity gives you the opportunity to interact with local people and taste and enjoy the beer together.
HIKE AND SSEARCH FOR THE MOUNTAIN SILVERBACK GORILLA
- Early morning breakfast
- Transfer to headquarters for a briefing to prepare for your trekking
- Hike with local ranger to find the gorilla family and spent 1 hour with them
- The local operator will arrange for a free porter per person who will assist you with your daypack, and give you hand when the path is slippery, steep, or irregular. The porters are from the local community and registered by the Rwanda Wildlife Authority, in this way we also support the local community.
- Lunch at your lodge and afternoon at leisure.
