Day 1
Arrival in Windhoek
We are picked up at the airport and driven to Windhoek. Our accommodation offers an outdoor pool and spa area. There are several restaurants on the premises with outdoor and indoor seating areas and the sky bar offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Klein-Windhoek district. The afternoon can be spent at leisure. We could choose to do a city tour or take a stroll through the town centre (optional).

Day 2 & 3 & 4
NamibRand Nature Reserve
Transfer to the city airport in Windhoek. We fly over the Khomas Highlands into the Namib Desert. Our chalet offers breathtaking views of the dunes, the desert plain and the nearby mountains.
The NamibRand Nature Reserve is a highlight for enthusiastic photographers and nature lovers. Game drives are offered here in the morning and in the afternoon. We drive over the seemingly endless grasslands dotted with the legendary fairy circles, over smaller dunes and along beautifully shaped mountain formations. We will see animals such as oryx antelope, ostrich and springbok. The landscapes in this area are beautiful and radiate a special tranquillity that is good for the soul.

Day 5 & 6
To Swakopmund
Today, we travel along the coastline to Swakopmund, where we will spend the night directly alongside the ocean. The town centre with its numerous cafés and restaurants is within walking distance. Dinner reservation in a restaurant by the sea (optional). On the second day, we take a particularly interesting boat trip in the lagoon of Walvis Bay. We are sure to see hundreds of seals and flamingos, dolphins and pelicans and with some luck, even whales. Alternatively, we could take an excursion into the desert. We will see sand vipers, chameleons and the gorgeous little palmato gecko. The afternoon is free for us to explore the town at leisure.

Day 7 & 8
Damaraland
To one side, we see the majestic Brandberg massif and on the other, the rugged mountain ranges of the "Torn Mountains" accompany us on our spectacular flight into Damaraland. Our small, exclusive camp offers grass-roofed tent bungalows, which are built very privately between the round granite peaks and blend perfectly into the landscape. We can relax and enjoy the sunset over this unique landscape in the evening. We visit the world famous rock engravings of Twyfelfontein, the "Burnt Mountain" and the "Organ Pipes". We will also go on a search for desert elephants in the dry riverbed of the Aba-Huab. We drive between tall camel thorn and ana trees in the deep river sand, hoping to spot some of the rare pachyderms.

Day 9 & 10
Etosha National Park
We reach Etosha National Park, one of the largest game reserves in the world, covering an area of almost 23 000 km2. It is home to over 110 species of mammals, including elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebra, 12 different antelope species and lions.
Our lodge for the next two days is in the Ongava Private Game Reserve. The luxurious, grass-roofed chalets were beautifufly built using local stone and offer a private veranda. The restaurant and bar afford us magnificent views of the plains and the waterhole, which is illuminated at night.
We have the opportunity to explore this paradise on extended game drives. At the edge of the Etosha Pan - a huge limestone salt depression - there are numerous waterholes where flocks of terrestrial animals and birds reside all year round.

Day 11
Okonjima
Flight to Okonjima, home of the AfriCat Foundation, where extensive projects on endangered species are carried out and also explained. Our lodge is situated in a 22 000 ha private nature reserve in the middle of the Omboroko Mountains. The abundance of game and birds together with the spectacular surrounding scenery, makes Okonjima a photographer's paradise. We are accommodated in a comfortable, detached bungalow. During the afternoon game drive we get up-close to the magnificent leopard. Afterwards, we can indulge in the varied and excellent cuisine offered here.

Departure
Today our Namibia adventure ends and it is time to say goodbye to this beautiful country. Departure to the airport to catch our flight home.
