You will be met at Antananarivo airport and taken to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, where you will stay for 3 nights at Vakona Forest Lodge, to get a short insight of Madagascar's endemic wildlife. The drive only takes about 3 hours. Settle-in and then once the sun set go on a night walk in Mitsinjo Forest.

Today you will be taken just 15 minutes down the road from Vakona, to Anamalazotra National Park, named after the river flowing through and home to the biggest of all lemurs - the Indri Indri. Diadem and brown lemurs can also be found here and of course, again all sorts of smaller reptiles and birds.

In the morning, you will be taken to the entrance of Mantadia National Park, where you will meet a local guide, who will take you on a full day track through the park, in the search of different lemur species - mainly diadem sifaka - as well as different reptiles and birds.

After breakfast, you will go on a canoe excursion around Lemur Island and into Lemur Island to see and feed the lemurs living on there. After that you will be taken back to Antananarivo airport, where your short jungle escape ends.
