You will be met when you arrive at Dar es Salaam after clearing the entry formalities and then walk around to the Domestic terminal which is only 2 mins away in readiness for your flight to Nyerere National Park. The flight is about 45 mins depending on its route as it delivers and collects guests from a number of different camps so you may have a nice scenic tour of the Nyerere National Park.
Depending on your International flights you may need to have a night in Dar es Salaam and we can certainly add that all into the safari plan for you.

The Nyerere National Park used to be part of the Selous Game Reserve which is the largest wildlife reserve in Africa. The two have now been separated so the Northern section above the Rufiji River is now called Nyerere National Park. This area is incredibly diverse so the species count that you can enjoy here with animals and birds is top class. One of the key species here are African Wild Dogs, this park is one of the last remaining strongholds of this very endangered predator. Giraffe, Reedbuck, Buffalo, Zebra, Hippos, Wildebeest, Lions, Leopards, Spotted Hyena to name a few are all common here. So you will have lots to view and enjoy here and you can game view either by boat or by vehicle and on foot so lots to keep you entertained in this beautiful park. You may even consider adding a night or two here as there is so much to explore here.

From Lake Manze Camp you fly further West into another huge National Park, The Ruaha National Park The flight here is approximately 1hr30mins depending on how many stops are made on the way. So again you may get an excellent game viewing flight over theses vast wilderness areas. You will be met at the airport by your guide and then have a game drive transfer up to the camp, you drive along the edge of the river which is always good for game viewing so your transfer to camp may take a little longer than expected.

Ruaha is another huge and ecologically diverse National Park and a great place to see animals like Lesser and Greater Kudu, Defassa Waterbuck, Giraffe, Sable, Elephants, Impala, all the big predators including African Wild dogs and a tremendous bird list as well. While you are here you have the option of Game drives and bush walks to explore this National Park which has few tourists and camps so you have great game viewing and wilderness to go with it in this classic and genuine tented safari camp in a beautiful locality.

You fly back to Dar es Salaam today from Ruaha - it is possible to add on one of the beautiful coastal destinations of Tanzania if you would like - either one of the Islands - Mafia and Zanzibar or along the coast on the mainland. Lots of options available that we can discuss to complete your safari experience.
