Days 1 - 5: Manda Island

Rather than ending your trip after the safari, why not board another flight from Wilson Airport to Lamu? Arriving at Lamu's Manda airstrip an hour and a half later, you will be met by a representative of The Majlis Resort and transferred across the bay to the island where you will spend the next five nights enjoying the coastal weather and the sandy beaches.

With superb seafront views over the Ras Kitau bay and Shela village, The Majlis is on one of Kenya’s most luxurious beaches facing Lamu town; itself one of Kenya's oldest continually inhabited towns, and one of the original Swahili settlements along coastal East Africa. Lamu town is now an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guests at The Majlis can relax in the lap of Lamu island’s unaffected charm.

Activities available during your stay include kayaking, laser sailing, a sundowner or a full day Dhow (traditional Arab sailing boat) excursion. At an extra cost you can go fishing, take boat safaris, scenic flights, an array of water sports, snorkeling, diving, fitness and cultural excursions.
