Day 1: Galapagos Horizon Trimaran

In the Morning: Baltra Airport Arrival
Morning flight from Quito or Guayaquil to Baltra, Galapagos Islands.
You will arrive at Baltra Island in the morning. After passing through immigration and baggage claim, you will be met by a Horizon staff member and transferred to the yacht. You will be shown to your cabin, where you will have some time to settle in before lunch and a welcome briefing.

In the Afternoon: Sullivan Bay
You will visit Sullivan Bay, located on the southeast part of Santiago Island. This place is interesting for its geology because the area is covered by lava flows. The terrain features elevations in the form of small volcanoes formed by the lava.

In the Afternoon: Espinoza Point
After crossing the Bolívar Channel—which divides Isabela and Fernandina Islands—you will land at Espinoza Point and take a walk through a colony of marine iguanas and a group of sea lions.

Day 3: Galapagos Horizon Trimaran

In the Morning: Tagus Cove

This spot has been frequented by ships since the 1800s, often used as an anchorage site. You'll take a walk past Lake Darwin and hike up to a ridge that offers wonderful panoramic views.

In the Afternoon: Urbina Bay
Urbina Bay is located at the base of Alcedo Volcano on the west coast of Isabela Island, between Tagus Cove and Elizabeth Bay.
This site is known for a dramatic uplift in 1954, which raised the sea floor by about 16 feet, expanding the coast half a mile outward. You can walk among exposed coral beds and marine fossils.
This is also a great place for snorkeling, with chances to see sea turtles, rays, and tropical fish.

Day 4: Galapagos Horizon Trimaran

In the Morning: Elizabeth Bay
Elizabeth Bay is located on the eastern coast of Isabela Island. The bay is surrounded by mangroves and rocky islets, where penguins and blue-footed boobies can often be spotted.
With calm, clear water and abundant marine life, the area is perfect for snorkeling and observing schools of colorful fish, rays, and other sea creatures.

In the Afternoon: Moreno Point
Moreno Point is located south of Elizabeth Bay, landing onto a fascinating landscape formed by ancient lava flows.
The hardened lava has created craters that have turned into natural tide pools and lagoons. These freshwater pools attract a variety of birdlife, offering a surreal and otherworldly experience.
As you explore, keep an eye out for flamingos, white-cheeked pintails, common gallinules, and possibly even white-tipped reef sharks and sea turtles in the pools.

In the Morning: Fausto Llerena Breeding Center
You will visit the Fausto Llerena Tortoise Breeding Center in Puerto Ayora, on Santa Cruz Island, where giant tortoises are raised and protected.
This center is home to tortoises of all ages—from hatchlings to fully grown adults. Various subspecies of the Galápagos giant tortoise interact with each other in semi-natural enclosures, and many of the older tortoises are accustomed to humans, often stretching out their heads for a photo.
Tortoises remain at the center until they are about four years old and strong enough to survive in the wild.

In the Afternoon: Baltra Airport Departure
After this final visit, you will be transferred to Baltra Airport for your flight back to mainland Ecuador.
