COVID-19: ACTIVITIES & SERVICES

Day 1: Cape Town

On arrival in Cape Town you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. 

Day 2: Cape Town

Today you will be picked-up at your hotel in the morning after breakfast and taken on a half day tour of Cape Town, including a city walking tour with a visit to the Castle of Good Hope and a trip to the top of Table Mountain on the cableway. 
The rest of the afternoon will be at leisure, you can choose from a wide range of optional additional activities and excursions.

Day 3: Cape Town

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a pick-up for a full day Cape Peninsula Tour. Highlights on this tour include:

  • Drive along the Atlantic Sea Board passing the beautiful beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay
  • Stop at Hout Bay Harbour, take an optional boat ride to Duiker Island to see the Cape Fur Seals
  • Chapman’s Peak Drive – known as one of the World’s most beautiful drives
  • Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point – most South Western point of Africa and the southern tip of the Cape Peninsula, spectacular scenery
  • False Bay Coastal Road – look out for whales between June and November
  • African Penguins at Boulders Beach
  • Simon’s Town – home to South Africa’s Naval Base
  • Picturesque drive past Kalk Bay and Muizenberg

Day 4: Oudtshoorn

Today you will depart Cape Town and travel along the scenic Route 62 to the Klein Karoo and the town of Oudtshoorn. On arrival you will visit an ostrich farm for a tour to learn more about these large flightless birds. 

Activities and Services

Day 5: Knysna

Today you will start with a tour of the Cango Caves. From here you will travel over the spectacular Outeniqua Pass down to the beautiful Garden Route and to the town of Knysna. Enjoy some time at leisure to explore the Knysna Waterfront before embarking on your sunset cruise on the Knysna Lagoon aboard the John Benn.

Day 6: Knysna

Day at leisure for optional activities in and around Knysna. We can recommend a Featherbed Eco Experience, or a whale watching boat trip (May-November) or some other fun activities such as stand-up-paddling or an electric bike tour. We are happy to suggest and assist with arranging activities depending on your preferences.

Day 7: Swellendam

Today you will travel along the Garden Route to Swellendam, with stops in Mossel Bay and at an aloe factory in Albertinia. Arrive in Swellendam in the late afternoon and spend some time exploring the town. 

Day 8: Hermanus

Today we travel through the Overberg region to the whale watching capital Hermanus. The whales visit between May and November each year, they are very often easily seen from the shore and there is a lovely scenic walk to enjoy along the clifftops to look out for them, alternatively you might choose to book an boat-based whale watching excursion. 

We can also recommend a vineyard quad bike trip or a fun zip-lining excursion. 

Day 9: End of Itinerary

Enjoy your last day at leisure in Hermanus, depending on your time of departure you might deicde to do an early morning shark cage diving excursion. 

Transfer back to Cape Town International Airport for departure.
