Compared to the Masai Mara and it's relatively easy viewing over wide open plains. Here you have to work to find shy species, in the woodlands and forests.

Key ingredients, for this remote and authentic safari experience, is the stunning landscape and the interaction with the local Samburu tribe. These are people far from urban areas, who live very much by traditional means. Cattle are the main currency.

Here water points have been dug into a dry river bed, to provide water for the herds of cattle, living in this semi desert environment. Each family with a herd of cattle sing as they approach the water, it's a unique colourful, cultural experience. At the end of the day, as the cattle are herded back to the villages for the night, wildlife starts to make their way down to the water, including elephant and leopard.
