Day 1: The Kilimanjaro Golf and Wildlife Estate

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)  you will be welcomed and transferred to your accommodation in Moshi for relaxation and overnight stay. If you are lucky you will get to see the Roof of Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds.

 

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

This morning you will be transferred to Tarangire National Park for game drives. Tarangire is sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah and up to six thousand elephants.

Day 3: Central Serengeti

After breakfast,  commence your drive to one of the most famous game parks in Africa, the Serengeti. Here is home to millions of wildebeest during the migration and over the huge flat plains you are likely to find lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena and many other small predators. Enjoy an on-route game drive to your camp and the experience of sleeping in the middle of the Serengeti. 

 

Day 4: Central Serengeti

Today you have a full day to explore the Serengeti. Your guide will choose the best wildlife viewing locations for the time of year. Spend time at the hippo pool, watching these enormous animals laze about in the cool water alongside the crocodiles, watch a lion stalking its prey or be staggered by the scale of the great wildebeest migration. Journey from wide, open plains to the kopjes, volcanic rocky outcrops that provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide you with the ultimate in game viewing.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Region

An early morning start in the Serengeti to try and find cats before they retreat from the blazing sun during the day. After a few hours game drive travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will overnight. The Ngorongoro caldera is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. At approximately 20 kilometres across and 600 metres deep, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breath-taking natural wonder.

 

Day 6: Lake Magadi

This morning you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a wonderful haven for wildlife.  Ngorongoro is unique in that almost all the wildlife lives within the crater walls, hence you have the opportunity to find game easily.  Rhino in particular can be seen regularly, as well as prides of lion and other predators like cheetah. Enjoy lunch by the hippo pond before commencing your drive to Lake Manyara.

Day 7: The Kilimanjaro Golf and Wildlife Estate

 This morning you will enter Lake Manyara National Park.  This park is famous for its tree climbing lions and large herds of elephant (which are not shy to come straight up to the vehicle). Enjoy game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Transfer back to Moshi/Kilimanjaro International Airport

Day 8: End of Itinerary

Today, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight.
