This morning, you will embark on a guided city tour of Lima’s historic downtown, beginning with a visit to the Main Plaza and the surrounding monuments: the Cathedral, built in 1534 and an architectural masterpiece; the Presidential Palace, where the soldiers guarding the palace offer an excellent photo opportunity; the Archbishop’s Palace, City Hall, the Desamparados train station, and the Moorish-style houses and balconies along Lima’s old streets.
Then, you will continue to the Rafael Larco Herrera Archaeological Museum (Museo Arqueolegico Rafael Larco Herrera), founded in 1926, is the world's largest private collection of pre-Columbian art; with an astonishing array of gold, silver, semi-precious stones and textiles. The collection's predominant strength is in Mochica ceramics, from the north coast of Peru, of which the erotic ones are the most famous. Their notoriety ought not to obscure the fact that the museum presents a complete view of the cultural development of ancient Peru through a selection of its 45,000 pieces, housed in a colonial building of the 18th century.

Transfer to the airport. Flight to Cusco.

Reception and assistance at the Cusco airport.  We take a short transfer to collect the vehicles and drive  towards the Sacred Valley.

Then, you will be driven to Pisac, a Peruvian village full of color and tradition in the Sacred Valley on the Urubamba River. The village is well-known for its market, an event which attracts travelers from all over the world. Option to grab some lunch in this beautiful village.

Arrival to the hotel and check-in.

Enjoy the beautiful gardens while you relax and get use to the altitude.

This day departure from your hotel with a scenic drive to the agricultural terrace of Moray and  to the salt panes of Maras.

Before dawn, leave for the three-crossing viewpoint, passing through the town of Paucartambo reaching the Ajanaco pass, there is the viewpoint, on the edge of this protected area. Upon arrival you will enjoy an impressive view of the Peruvian Amazon, where you can see one of the most beautiful sunrises in the world.

Later  go in the direction of the biological station of Wayquecha, it is a private conservation area that, due to its environmental characteristics, allows the access of several terrestrial habitats, including the cloud forest, the cloudy sclerophyl thicket, the high Andean pajonal and its ecotone with the forest, one of the most marked ecological borders of the planet.

Already installed in the lodge we will visit a suspension air bridge for the observation of birds such as the forest dozel.

Dinner at Wayquecha Lodge

Explore the trails for birds and monkeys in the morning. 

Breakfast with a beautiful view of the cloudforest and its activity. 

After lunch we drive down the Manu Road stopping and looking at scenery and wildlife in time to arrive for dinner in the Cock-of-the-Rock Lodge. 

Very early we will visit an observation hideout called “lek” which will give us the opportunity to see the Gallito de las roca, national bird of Peru, with its bustling song, its movement, its colorful, colorful plumage.

At the appropriate time we will return to the lodge and head towards Atalaya en route

We will visit the coca plantations and learn about traditional uses and their medicinal properties.

Our destination is the port of Atalaya, when we get there, we will change the land transport and we will embark on a boat to start sailing along the Alto Madre de Dios River. This gives us the fabulous scenery during the trip, we will have gone down to about 300 meters to reach the Manu Learning Center Lodge, we will settle in our rooms and then enjoy dinner with the melodious background of the sounds of the jungle.

This morning we will return to Atalaya Port to pick up the vehicle and return to Cock of the Rock Lodge 

Drive back to Cusco.

When you reach Cusco you’ll be parking outside town and catching a car  to the hotel. 

An entire day at leisure to enjoy the city of Cusco. It’s a beautiful old Spanish town with a charming main square surrounded by numerous smaller squares. There are plenty of restaurants, museums, markets, shops and other places of interest.

Transfer to the train station to take the train to Aguas Calientes. Arrival and transfer to bus station.

Visit to Machu Picchu, the impressive Inca citadel located 113 Km. from Cusco at 2400 meters above sea level. This complex has several stone constructions that leave the tourist breathless because of the amazing design. Accompanied by your guide, explore the city's ruins, and feel its pulse as you visualize the lives of the priests, craftsmen, and servants who inhabited this seemingly uninhabitable citadel. Excavations at the site have revealed skeletons, artifacts and woolen clothing, but no gold. The same precision of assembled stones exists here as in other Incan sites. Overlooking the raging Urubamba River and discovered in a hidden tangle of vines and trees atop the mountain, the city of Machu Picchu will forever hold the secret of its destruction - the Incas left no written record.

In the afternoon, return to Aguas Calientes.

This morning enjoy the activities included in the hotel.

Early afternoon board the train back to Cusco and transfer to your hotel.
