Day 1: Entebbe

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda and after finalizing the formalities, you will be welcomed by your guide, who will then drive you to your hotel

Day 2: Ndali Kasenda Crater Lakes

After breakfast, you can either drive to Kibale National Park or fly from Entebbe to Kasese Airstrip after which you will drive to Kibale National Park. Later in the day you may choose to explore the crater lakes nearby or take a walk to the villages. Otherwise spend the rest of the day at leisure at the lodge as you wait for the next day’s activities

Day 3: Ndali Kasenda Crater Lakes

Today you will track the most famous inhabitants of Kibale National Park, the chimpanzees. With over 1,450 individuals protected within the park, Kibale forest is home to the largest number of the endangered chimpanzees in Uganda, as well as the threatened red colobus monkey and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey. The forest has one of the highest diversity and density of primates in Africa totaling 13 species including the black and white colobus, blue monkey and grey-cheeked mangabey, red tailed monkey, bush babies and pottos. In the afternoon after tracking, you have the opportunity for a guided walk through the swamps of Bigodi. After the fascinating walk you have the choice of relaxing in the accommodation or community walk in a village nearby. Alternatively, you can visit a school in the local community, talk to the students and teachers and participate in the lessons.

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Today you will be transferred to Kasese Airstrip and then fly to Kihihi Airstrip, upon arrival, you will meet with your guide and then drive to your lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. This fascinating mountain forest hosts chimpanzees and spectacular birds. There are 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species including Bluethroated Broadbill, bar-tailed Trogon and other beautiful forest species. You shall go to bed earlier this evening, since you should be fit for gorilla trekking the next day

Day 5: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

This morning you will get up early and go for the upcoming gorilla trekking. Trekking the Mountain Gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours, but is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas.

Day 6: Volcanoes National Park

Today you cross over to the Uganda and Rwanda early in the morning and after finalizing the formalities, you shall connect to your flight to your flight to Volcanoes National Park. The journey goes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that show much of Rwanda’s landscape, gradually climbing to the base of the awesome Virunga volcanoes, sometimes with as many as five peaks visible. In the afternoon you may walk to the Ruhengeri town and Market

Day 7: Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast you will drive to Ruhengeri. You will experience the highlight of your trip by visiting the mountain gorillas of our planet in Volcanoes National Park where you will be led by an experienced Ranger Guide who will tell you interesting facts about the Mountain Gorillas. Later you will visit the Gorilla guardians

Day 8: End of Itinerary

Today, you will drive to the capital of Rwanda in Kigali. Enjoy the beautiful scenery on the way. Upon your arrival in Kigali for a city tour, you will visit the Genocide Museum in the suburb Gisozi. In the evening depart for the Airport and take your flight back home.
