Depart Nairobi after breakfast and head for Kisumu town via the great rift valley (optional flight available)

The distance from Nairobi to Kisumu is about 350 kms which takes approximately 7 hours depending on the road situation.
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Kakemega Forest at 0900hrs which is about 1hour 30 minutes drive depending on the weather.
After a nature walk in the forest, enjoy a guided tour at the waterfalls - very good for photos.
Later in the afternoon at 1400hrs drive back to Kisumu, with a drop off at the hotel.
Spend the rest of the evening at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Kakamega is a town in western Kenya lying about 30 km north of the Equator. It is the headquarters of Kakamega County. The town has a population of 99,987 (2009 census).
Kakamega county is Kenya's second most populous county after Nairobi. The county has 9 constituencies in total, namely Butere, Mumias East, Matungu, Khwisero, Shinyalu, Lurambi, ikolomani, Lugari and Malava.
Kakamega was so named because the word "kakamega" translates roughly to "pinch" in Kiluhyah, which was used to describe how European colonists would eat the staple food, ugali.
After breakfast, depart for Bondo to have a site of the Kit Mikayi rock.
Enjoy a warm welcome by isikuti dancers.
Kit Mikayi is a large rock with three rocks on top, is located off Kisumu-Bondo Road towards Bondo. It stands tall above many surrounding rocks in Kangeso village. The 70 ft to 80 ft stone is also a weeping rock.
Drive to the got Ramogi and thereafter to Kogelo for a visit to the Mama Obama's compound for a little exploration and learning about her foundation.
Lunch at a local restaurant and in the afternoon drive back to Kisumu for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Distance form Kisumu to Bondo is about 1hour 30 minutes. Gusests will depart via road.
Distance from Bondo to Kogelo is approximately 30 minutes.
Mama Sarah Obama's compound visist is organised by the Tourism Office of Siaya and has to be requested three days before the day of visit for confirmation. Mama Sarah is only allowed to see guests for only 45 minutes. More history will be briefed during the time of visit.
Got Ramogi, is a place where one will not only learn more about the history and culture of Luos, but also have adventure and fun. The hilly and rough terrain, combined with the quiet ambiance below tall trees, makes it an ideal location for picnics, camping and corporate team building. On reaching the top of Ramogi Hill, a visitor will have a good view of the vast Yala Swamp below, with its waters that eventually pour into Lake Victoria. Bird lovers will be fascinated by the resort. It is home to over 20 bird species as well as a variety of indigenous trees and flowers, some of which are endangered species.
Depart from Kisumu via Road to Rusinga Islands which is about 1 hour 40 minutes.
On arrival you will be met and welcomed in the hotel. Check-in and enjoy Lunch.
The rest of the afternoon is left for you to relax or take the many activities available at the lodge.

Distance from Kisumu to Lake Simbi Nyaima is about 1hr30 minutes.
After breakfast, depart for Ruma National Park at 0630hrs.
The distance from Rusinga to Ruma National Park via Homa Bay is about 1hr 30 mins.
Return to Rusinga in time for lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure with optional activities.
Overnight at Rusinga Island Lodge



Early Morning breakfast at 0730 hrs and hotel check out. Clients will be driven to Nairobi from Kisumu with packed lunch.
