Day 1: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, you will be met and transferred by road to your accommodation, the wonderful Ilala Lodge where you will spend the night.

Explore Vic Falls town to discover this laid-back travel hub where you can visit charming cafes or bustling markets. Find the best spot to view the Victoria Falls and be dazzled by the roar of the “Smoke that Thunders”. Feel the cool spray of the fine mist that rises meters above mighty falls where thousands of litres of water plunge down a steep gorge, gouging out a winding canyon below.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES IN VICTORIA FALLS

Popular optional activities on offer in Victoria Falls include a scenic Helicopter Flight, Flying Fox (Cable Slide), Gorge Swing, Bungee Jumping, Zip Lining, Bridge Slide as well as the Canopy Tour. Pre-booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. All activities are subject to availability and may require a minimum amount of passengers to operate. Certain activities only operate at specific times of the year. Please contact our reservation office for further information and booking.  Should you wish to partake in an activity that is not listed below, we will gladly assist you. 

Days 2 - 4: Mana Pools National Park

After breakfast you will depart to Victoria Falls Airport, where you will embark on your flight to Mana Main/West Airstrip. The next three nights will be spent at Camp Mana offering the ultimate Zimbabwe safari experience, a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts.

The life-giving power of the Zambezi River makes Mana Pools National Park one of Zimbabwe’s most lush and flourishing regions, designated as the country’s second World Heritage Site and known as one of the continent’s premier game-viewing regions.  The camp nestles close to the national park's eastern boundary, and  offer uninterrupted views of the sweeping floodplains of Mana Pools, making game viewing possible from the comfort of your tent. 

During your stay, you will be able to exprience Mana Pools on game drives as well as on foot during walking safaris, led by our experienced guides. For a different vantage point, taking to the Zambezi River in a canoe is an opportunity and one of the most beautiful wilderness experiences offered.

Days 5 - 7: Mana Pools National Park

This morning you will leave Camp Mana and transfer by road through to Mhara River Camp for your next three nights. The camp is located on the southern side of Mana Pools National Park with views of the Chitake River just 50 meters below.

The Camp offers all the comforts of the wilderness while preserving the surrounding flora and fauna. During your stay, you will have a choice of activities such as game-viewing excursions, a guided walk, and night-time game-viewing.

 

Day 8: End of Itinerary

Our safari ends after breakfast. You will be transferred by road to Ruckomechi Airstrip, where you will depart on your flight back to Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport. We hope to welcome you again one day on another of our African adventures!

 

OPTIONAL ADD-ON CHITAKE SPRINGS (3 additional nights)

Extend your Mana Pools adventure with an optional add-on of a 3-night stay at a fly camp in Chitake Springs. Known for its natural springs, Chitake Springs attracts a lot of wildlife and is famous for lions that often walk right past your tent at night and large herds of buffalo that come to drink. With no fences around the camp, you’ll get a real taste of wild Africa, perfect for anyone who loves nature and adventure.
