Upon arrival to the airport in Baltra, you will be transferred to Reina Silvia Yacht at the bay. After settling in the yacht and lunch, the first visit will be to Fausto Llerena Breeding Center where giant tortoises are bred in captivity and reared until the age of 5 years, when they can survive the effects of introduced predators. Subspecies of the giant tortoises interact with one another, and many of the older tortoises are accustomed to humans stretching out their heads for a photo opportunity. Early in the morning head to Gardner Bay, which will be a great opportunity for snorkeling and swim., Them head to Gardner Islet, where you will find steep cliffs, large boulders and sandy ledges to explore. Next up is Osborn Islet, a great place to observe sea lions. During the afternoon, you will visit Suarez Point on Española Island, that is a basaltic cliff which forms a blowhole where water sprays high into the air. A hike to the top makes a great opportunity to take spectacular pictures. You can also watch sea lions, sea birds, Marine Iguanas, masked and blue footed boobies.
Early start with an excursion to Lobos Island which means “Sea Lion Island”. This appropriately named island is ripe with boasting, playful sea lions who will welcome you to their home upon landing on San Cristobal Island. This island offersgreat snorkeling opportunities. Next, head to Kicker Rock, a rock formation located a couple hours off the western shore of San Cristobal, where you can practice kayaking and snorkeling. At the late afternoon head to Pitt Point, a place with various species of birds. End of the day and dinner onboard.
In the morning, you will visit Santa Fe Island (Barrington) which is home to a small, picturesque bay also named Santa Fe. The bay has two visitor trails, one leading to a scenicviewpoint atop a cliff, and the other spanning from a small beach to atall prickly pear cactus forest. In the afternoon, you will head to South Plaza Island, home to one of the largest sea lion colonies as well as colorful yellow and red land iguanas. End of the day and dinner onboard.
Early start at the White coral beach of Darwin Bay, which winds through mangroves filled with land birds. There is also a path where you find tidal pools where sea lions swim playfully. At the end of this trail there is a spectacular view of a cliff. In the afternoon, you will visit El Barranco which is also known as Prince Phillip’s Steps, a steep rocky path that leads up to a high cliff-face, where you will spot various species of native fauna. End of the day and dinner onboard.
The day begins with a visit to Sullivan Bay on Santiago island, where you will see elevations in form of small volcanoes, formed by the lava flows, due to the recent formation of this place. In the afternoon, you will head to Bartholomew Island, home of the famous Pinnacle Rock, from where you will enjoy one of the best views of the islands. This place is also ideal for snorkeling. End of the day and dinner onboard.
After breakfast, you will visit Rabida Island one of the most colorful and volcanically varied islands, due to its red sand beach in the archipelago and also a great snorkeling site. In the afternoon, you will visit the Chinese Hat Islet. Its name comes from the distinct shape of the islet’s summit. This place is a great location to view many geological formations such as lava tubes and lava flows. End of the day and dinner onboard.
