After clearing the entry formalities for Zambia I will be there to meet you and then we transfer through to our camp just outside Livingstone and inside the National Park right on the river. It's a great locality and you can just sit back and relax and enjoy your new surroundings.
The following day we shall start off with a walk in the bush to track the White Rhino which is an amazing way to start a safari. Later we shall go to the Falls themselves, so you have a close up of this incredible spectacle before returning to camp for an afternoon sunset cruise on the river itself.
We fly from Livingstone via Lusaka to reach the Lower Zambezi National Park. Our safari here starts right from the airstrip on our way to the camp. The camp is set right on that banks of the Zambezi River and in the heart of the flood plain area of this huge and beautiful National Park.
Our days will be spent here doing a combination of bush walks, game drives and cruises out on the Zambezi River to enjoy this very special part of Africa. This area is great for seeing Waterbuck, Hippos, Crocodiles, Elephants, Buffalo, Lion, Impala, Warthogs and so much more it really is an immersive safari experience here.
We next fly to Zambia's flagship and most famous National Park - The South Luangwa National Park. Our camp here is right inside the park and overlooks its own flood plain and waterhole area away from the main river. This park has a wonderful variety of wildlife including its own unique species of giraffe and wildebeest. It is however most famous for its leopard sightings along with all the other big predators like Hyena, Lion and African Wild Dogs.
We will be able to enjoy this excellent safari area doing a combination of activities here that will include Day and Night Game Drives plus Bush walks, depending on the river levels we may also be able to spend some time on the river as well.
We finish off our time in South Luangwa in a private area on the other side of the Luangwa River. This beautiful safari house with its own waterhole that is well used by all the resident animals like elephants, puku, bushbuck, warthogs, baboons and so much more is a great place to either spend your time relaxing at the house watching the safari scenes unfold in front of you or we can venture further afield to explore further upstream of the South Luangwa National Park. A great way to end your safari here in Zambia.
You will fly today back to Lusaka on a scheduled flight to Lusaka so your onward flights should be worked out to suit these timings.
