On your arrival at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, you will be met by our representative who will escort you through the immigration formalities and out to the transfer vehicle that will take you to the luxury Fireblade Aviation Terminal.
You will have time to freshen up in the guest facilities at Fireblade and relax with a light meal and beverages before boarding your charter flight to Tswalu that departs at 13h00. It is a 1.5 hour flight to Tswalu where you will be met by your dedicated Ranger and Tracker who will take you on the short transfer to your luxury lodge, The Motse.
Settle in at your luxury suite and meet your Ranger and Tracker team later in the afternoon for a short Game Drive to view the magnificent sunset over the semi-arid Kalahari landscape. Your Ranger will brief you on all the available activities that you may enjoy over the next two days at Tswalu.

There is no "normal" schedule that you should follow while you are at Tswalu. You determine what time you want to rise in the morning, when you wish to go on the Game Drives with your Ranger and when you want to eat. Your Ranger will advise what the best time of the day is to see certain species of animals or birds, but you are in control of the time schedule.
Being out in the fresh early morning air of the Kalahari is a very special experience and this is the time of the day when the wild animals are at their most active. You will be richly rewarded with great animal sightings and when you are ready to eat, your breakfast will be brought to you to enjoy in nature.
Later in the day you may opt for a horseback safari that enables you to get very close to the animals grazing on the sparse grass covering of the Kalahari.

Continue to explore the Kalahari on Game Drives with your Ranger. Get involved and learn about the conservation projects that are always underway at Tswalu.
Later in the morning you may visit the Tswalu Foundation and learn how the organization is supporting and developing the local communities.
Tonight you may tantalize your taste buds and dine with the Michelin Star Chef, Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen at the unique restaurant Klein Jan at Tswalu.

This morning you may enjoy your last Game Drive in the crisp clear air of the Kalahari.
Have a leisurely breakfast and relax around the pool until lunchtime when can have a light lunch before departing to the landing strip. Your charter flight to Cape Town will depart around 15h00 landing at Cape Town at 17h00.
Your Safari Director will meet you at the Fireblade terminal and take you on the short scenic drive through the Cape Winelands to your luxury accommodation at Leeu House in the village of Franschhoek.

This morning you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the terrace and we will then travel down the Franschhoek Wine Valley to Paarl. We stop along the way to see the place where Nelson Mandela was released from prison and took his first steps as a free man.
Our next stop is at KWV Cellar for a guided cellar tour through the historical part of the cellar complex that cover an area of over 50 acres in size. KWV celebrated its centenary year in 2018 and the tour is followed by a tasting of some of the great wines and spirits that this cellar produces.
We continue on to Fairview Wine Estate where we do a Wine and Cheese pairing of eight of their award-winning wines paired with eight varieties of cheese that are all produced on this estate.
Our next stop is in the second oldest town in South Africa, Stellenbosch. We take some time to explore the historical center of the town and then travel to the Waterford Wine Estate for a Wine and Chocolate pairing to finish the day of exploring two of the wine regions of the Cape Winelands.
We return to Franschhoek where you are spoiled for choice for a top dining venue. Franschhoek is also known as the culinary capital of South Africa.

This morning we travel into the city of Cape Town and start the day with a Historical City Tour to see some of the landmarks of the city as well as the colourful area of Bo Kaap.
We then go up Table Mountain for a guided tour of the Tabel Top and enjoy the spectacular views over Cape Town.
Our journey continues around the Cape Peninsula through Camps Bay, Hout Bay and over the spectacular Chapmans Peak Drive to arrive at Boulders Beach where we do a guided tour of the African Penguin Colony Reserve.
We end the day at the Steenberg Wine Estate located in the oldest wine region in South Africa, The Constantia Wine Region. Here we do a sparkling wine tasting of the South African MCC - Method Cal Classique. The sparkling wines are created with the exact same method used for the great champagne from Europe.
We return to Franschhoek for the last evening relaxing over the innovative dining choices at the high acclaimed Le Petite Colombe Restaurant.
