You will be met at Jomo Kenyatta Airport and transferred for an overnight stay at the Ole Sereni Hotel for a good nights sleep before beginning your safari the following morning.



This morning you will be met by a Destinations Africa Travel Representative as well as your driver guide and given a short safari briefing on what to expect over the next few days. You are then off on safari to the first stop- the pink tinged Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake is home to hundreds of resident flamingos making this a birders paradise. Lake Nakuru Lodge offers comfortable accommodation and is a great base from which to explore the park. As the drive from Nairobi isn’t long, you will arrive in plenty of time for a leisurely lunch before an afternoon out in this great park. The Park is also famous for its rhino population and it is an honour to see these majestic creatures in the wild. Back at the lodge; dinner is served as you toast your first day on safari.

After an early breakfast, you are off to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. As soon as you enter the park gates it becomes clear why the reserve is featured in many wildlife documentaries; it is teaming with wildlife and just the drive to the camp is exciting. After a late lunch don’t waste a second and head straight out into the Reserve to see what you can spot before returning to the lodge for evening drinks and dinner.

Today, if you want to catch the animals at their most active, you will get up at sunrise. Fingers crossed, you may even spot a leopard, the most elusive of the Big 5. After your game drive breakfast is served overlooking the gardens and the park. With some time to kill before lunch, a cultural visit to a local village (additional cost) might interest you, learning the ways of Masai life and traditions is fascinating. Or you may prefer to lounge by the pool side and enjoy the hot sun. After a late lunch at the lodge, a last afternoon game drive awaits you before you return for an evening of reminiscing before dinner.

Today you will be transferred back to Nairobi with a last photo opportunity on the escarpment of the Rift Valley which offers breath-taking landscapes. Your safari ends at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport. However if you would like a beach extension to our wonderful beaches this can be easily arranged. If you have time to kill before your evening flight, there are some great excursions in Nairobi that you can book to make the most of your last afternoon in wonderful Kenya (at additional cost).
