Day 1: Franschhoek

On arrival in Cape Town, you will be met straight off the aircraft and assisted with your luggage.

Meet a driver in the arrival hall and transfer in a private vehicle to the Winelands area, 

  

Day 2: Franschhoek

Today you will embark on a full day Private Wineland Tour.

Drink in both the stunning views and world-renowned wines in the breathtakingly beautiful Winelands region. Explore the picturesque, historic towns of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, and Paarl, each with something unique to offer.

  • The quaint, university town of Stellenbosch with its unique historical architecture
  • Franschhoek with its majestic mountain vistas
  • Paarl, home to the Afrikaans Language 
  • Wine tastings at three different wine estates
  • Cellar tour

Lunch is not included on this day.

Day 3: Cape Town

After breakfast, check out and meet a driver.

Transfer to Cape Town in a private vehicle. 

 

Day 4: Cape Town

Today you will embark on a Cape Town and City Tour, which includes a trip up to the top of Table Mountain

Discover why Cape Town continuously tops the lists of must-visit travel destinations on this day-long tour highlighting the bucket list landmarks of the Mother City.

Join us as we explore the natural wonders of Table Mountain and Lion’s head, with the option to stretch your legs on the mountain hiking trails. Witness the sunrise on the famous ‘table top’ and take in the 360-degree views from the Cableway.

Day 5: Cape Town

Spend the day at leisure.

Below are some suggested activities and sightseeing to do whilst in Cape Town (excluded from your pricing);

  • Table Mountain: Walk, hike (and abseil), or take the cable car to the top of Table Mountain.
  • Cape Point: The most southern point of the Cape Peninsula and where legends tell us that the two oceans, the Atlantic and the Indian, meet. This conservation area is breath taking and will leave an impression that will stay with you for ever.
  • Signal Hill: Watch the historic firing of the Noon Day Gun on the slopes of Signal Hill
  • Company Gardens: Feed the squirrels and enjoy tea in the Company Gardens - peace within a buzzing urban metropolis
  • Township Cultural Tours: An excellent opportunity to be guided around the townships, interacting with the locals and even having a drink or meal at a sheebeen (tavern) or restaurant.
  • Horse ride: On Noordhoek Beach and experience breath-taking views of the ocean and Chapman’s Peak
  • Robben Island: Visit this World Heritage Site where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years
  • Helicopter Flights: Get a bird’s eye view of Cape Town and take in the sights from a different perspective.
  • Paraglide: Over the shores of Camps Bay, boasting some of the most spectacular views in the world
  • Beaches: Relax at one of Cape Town’s famous beaches, Clifton, Camps Bay or Llandudno
  • Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens & the Boomslang Walkway: This world renowned garden is host to a huge range of South African flora. The Botanical Gardens are well respected for the research they do to protect some of the most endangered species of plants found in the Peninsula. Pack a picnic and enjoy lunch in the Gardens.
  • Sundowners: Enjoy your favourite sundowner at one of the many restaurants and pubs in Green Point
  • Underground Tunnel & Dungeon Tour: During the early days of Cape Town canals and rivers acted as routes of travel and supplied the Company Gardens and ships with fresh water. Still in existence today these tunnels – approximately two meters in diameter – are located under the busy streets of the CBD and now help with storm water drainage, channel fresh run-off water from Table Mountain (straight into the sea).
  • Oranjezicht City Farm - inner city garden: celebrating local food, culture and community through urban farming in Cape Town
  • Explore Cape Town on a City Walking Tour: St Georges Cathedral (hear about Desmond Tutu), The Parliament and Presidents house (the land of many capitals), The Old Strand and Old Mutual Building (African style architecture and where the beach used to be), City Hall (where Mandela gave his world famous speech), Green Market Square (“Africa made in China”), The Parade and the Castle of Good Hope (an early pentagon), District Six, The Flower Market (meet South Africa’s National flower “in person”), The Slave Lodge (where thousands of slaves were kept), and Company Gardens (with probably the world’s oldest pear tree and the begging squirrels)
  • Experience Bo Kaap on a Walking Tour & Cape Malay Cooking Experience: Long Street (hear about the party street of Cape Town), Auwal Masjeed (the oldest mosque in Cape Town founded by “Tuan Guru” himself), The old tailors house, The Doctors house (where it all started with the different colored houses), Biesmiellah Malay Restaurant and also Cape Malay food, The Atlas Spice Trading Centre (where you can smell the spices of the east and maybe do some shopping), Chiappini Street (arguably the most beautiful street in town – where the cameras start clicking), and Bree Street (trendy cafes, restaurants and bars)
  • Enjoy high tea: Spend an afternoon of bliss enjoying high tea at the likes of The One & Only, Mount Nelson, Table Bay, and 12 Apostles Hotel
  • Harley Davidson Tours: See Cape Town from the back of a Harley Davidson and careen around the curves of some of the most scenic roads in the world. There’s something exhilarating about being able to smell the sea and feel the wind in your hair
  • Power boating around Cape Point: Round the Cape of Storms in a powerboat for a truly unique way to appreciate the stunning views and rugged, dramatic beauty of Cape Point from the ocean. 
  • Devil’s Peak Brewing Company & The Taproom Restaurant: Producing world class examples of American, Belgian and English style ales. From bold, American IPAs to light and easy drinking session ales.Enjoy a craft beer and food pairing board.
  • Mother’s Ruin Gin Bar: A venue that’s purportedly Africa’s first dedicated gin bar, on one of the hippest streets in Cape Town.
  • Hope on Hopkins Gin Distillery: Cape Town’s first gin distillery in the heart of the city.
  • Simons Town: Coming around the east side of the Peninsula on the False Bay side you can visit Simon’s Town, home to the South African Navy. Whilst in the area, it is definitely worthwhile visiting Boulders Beach which is home to hundreds of African penguins.
  • Constantia Wine Estates: The mixture of mountain drives and valleys covered in vines, make this a stunning part of the Cape. The main estates are Buitenverwachting, Constantia Uitsig, Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia and Steenberg.
  • Shark Diving: The perfect tour for those who want to get up close and personal with a Great White Shark.
  • Mountain Biking: There are escorted trips available on the mountain, around Constantia and in the Cape Point section of the Cape Peninsula National Park.
  • Winelands Tour: Visit Stellenbosch with its tree-lined streets and historical architecture; Franschhoek, arguable the most beautiful part of the Winelands and; Paarl, the ‘pearl of the Cape’. Enjoy wine tastings and cellar tours.
  • Franschhoek Wine Tram: explore the Franschhoek wine valley on the renovated Tram & Trambus visiting some of the excellent wine estates in the region

Day 6: Cape Town

Today you will embark on a Full Day Private Cape Point and Peninsular Tour

Nowhere else in the world treats you to the level of scenic beauty that’s on offer in the Cape Peninsula. Experience it all on this spectacular day tour that introduces you to the rugged coastline while en-route to renowned Cape Point.

Pass the city’s famed beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton, before heading to Chapman’s Peak Drive. This impressive 15km route cuts into the jagged mountains surrounding Hout Bay harbour, offering unspoiled views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Once you arrive at Cape Point Nature Reserve, you’ve entered the renowned south-westernmost point of the African continent. It’s here that famous shipwrecks throughout history have left their skeletons.

Day 7: Cape Town

Another fabulous day at leisure.

Day 8: Chobe River Front

After an early breakfast, check out and meet a driver at the agreed time. 

Transfer to the Cape Town Airport, and board a scheduled flight bound for Kasane, Botswana via Johannesburg (this flight is not included in the above price.)

Upon arrival at the Kasane Immigration Office, you will be warmly greeted by a dedicated Zambezi Queen Collection representative, who will provide assistance with your luggage and guide you through the passport control process. You’ll then take a boat transfer to the Chobe Princess, where you will be welcomed with an introduction and a delectable lunch on board. Lunch is available until 14h00 and guests arriving later will be served a mid-afternoon snack. The afternoon is free for leisure activities, or if time permits, you can join a late afternoon river safari. In the evening, savour a delicious 3-course dinner, after which you can truly unwind and enjoy the serene African night.

Day 9: Chobe River Front

Experience the convenience of our flexible activity schedule allowing you and fellow guests onboard to choose the timing for three two-hour activities each day. Options include: guided water-based game viewing, birding, fishing, cultural tour and photographic safaris.

Start your day with a cup of coffee or tea served from 06h00 on the upper deck. Early mornings are perfect for activities like Tiger fishing or birding excursions. Back on board, indulge in a hearty buffet breakfast from 08h00. After breakfast, immerse yourself in the local culture with a village tour, followed by a scenic game cruise along Chobe National Park aboard a tender boat. Indulge in a delicious onboard lunch and take time to relax by the splash pool or dive into a good book. Later in the day, revel in the panoramic surroundings with another thrilling tender boat safari. End your day with a mouth-watering dinner on the upper deck, embracing the serene African ambiance.

Day 10: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Start your morning with a fresh juice or freshly brewed cup of coffee or tea. Be on the lookout for wildlife as you enjoy a morning cruise during your buffet breakfast. Prepare to disembark the Chobe Princess for passport control. If you have an onward flight, a short road transfer will take you to Kasane Airport. Alternatively, if you’re continuing your African adventure, meet your transfer representative at Kasane Immigration Office for a convenient road transfer to your next destination.

Cross the border into Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. 

 

Day 11: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

After breakfast, meet a guide and embark on a Private Guided Tour of Victoria Falls.

In the afternoon meet a driver and transfer to the Zambezi River and embark on sunset cruise including canapes and drinks.

Meet your driver afterwards and transfer back to your hotel

Day 12: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Spend the day at leisure.  There are plenty of activities on offer at Victoria Falls - ask me for more details.

In the evening meet a driver and transfer a short distance to the Dusty Road Township Experience for a traditonal African Dinner.

Afterwards, meet your driver and transfer back to your hotel.

Dusty Road is a traditional Zimbabwean restaurant situated in the bustling heart of Chinotimba, the largest and oldest township in Victoria Falls just 2 km from the centre of the city. Step inside a welcoming and thriving home and experience the vibrancy of the community, as local vendors sell their wares, while enticing smells waft across from the charcoal fires and your eyes are treated to bright, inventive regional creations recycled with a heavy dose of African humour and ingenuity. Dusty Road Township Experience’s food is cooked the Zimbabwean way: on open fires and in cast iron pots and ovens, giving guests an authentic, wholesome and tasty food experience. The Dusty Road style is cheerful, earthy, funky and full of soul, with a true purpose at its core. The welfare of women, female empowerment and the awareness of Zimbabwean culture is of huge importance to Sarah and the Dusty Road family, and their work ethos and reason for being, captures this in every way. Sarah’s aim is to improve the livelihoods of the families in Chinotimba through exposure to the Restaurant’s visitors and the transcendental gift of human interaction over a delicious meal. 

Day 13: Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

After breakfast, check out and meet a driver at the agreed time. 

Transfer to the Victoria Falls Airport. 

Board a scheduled flight to Mpumalanga Airport (not included in the above price)

Meet a driver and transfer to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve.

Settle into camp, enjoy afternoon high tea before heading out on an afternoon game driver with a tracker, guide and fellow guests. 

Day 14: Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

On safari enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with a tracker, guide, and fellow guests.

Typical daily schedule (subject to change and times may vary slightly in winter/summer)

  • 05:00/5:30 am – Wake up call
  • Meet in lounge area for morning tea and muffins
  • 06:00 am – Depart on a shared game drive
  • 09:30/10:00 am – Breakfast
  • Relax and unwind /read/swim
  • 1:00 pm – Lunch (Some lodges may offer high tea)
  • 4:00 pm – High tea & afternoon shared game drive departs (includes sun-downer stop)
  • 7:00/7:30 pm – return to the lodge for dinner

 

Day 15: Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

On safari enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with a tracker, guide, and fellow guests.
