Pick up from your hotel or airport in Dar es Salaam in the morning (depending on your arrival time) and proceed to Selous Game Reserve, five to six hours away. On arrival you will check in at Ngalawa Camp where after a short rest you will be transferred to the Rufiji River boat terminal where you will start your boat safari to admire the prolific bird life close to the water and animals coming to the river bank to drink. The boat safari lasts around 3 hours, then return back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Enjoy a full day in the reserve with a packed lunch. Your guide will drive you around in a 4x4 with a pop up roof. You can stand on the seats to have an elevated viewing position.

Use the last morning to go on a bush walk. An opportunity to get out of the vehicle and closer to nature to look at the smaller things and lear how the whole ecosystem works. After your walking safari you will then drive back to Dar es Salaam. Drop off in the afternoon (can be arranged as needed).
