Today's tour will porvide a spectacular overview of caoe `town - the city with a vast variety of chocolate-box-beauty and scenery. You will be picked up from the hotel at 08h00. Your drive will take you along a wonderfully scenic road that hugs the coastline. The majestic Twelve Apostles mountains tower above you on the left, and the awesome ocean is a stone’s throw to the right. Feel free to pause for photography purposes along the way to the harbour village of Hout Bay. You have an optional boat trip (weather permitting) to Duiker (Seal) Island. After Hout Bay you take the breathtaking Chapman’s Peak Drive (this road is sometimes closed after heavy rainfalls). After which you arrive at the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, the home of Cape Point. On leaving Cape Point, you now enjoy more breathtaking views, this time along the False Bay coast. We pass Smitswinkelbaai, and head to Boulders Beach Penguin Colony. The drive continues along the False Bay coast, through Fishhoek, Kalk Bay, St James and Muizenberg. Cape Town

Day notes

After a morning at leisure.....

Your guide will collect you this afternoon and depart the city for Table Mountain's Lower Cableway Station. You will explore the mountain's summit and absorb the breath-taking views before descending.

You then return to the city via the old Cape Malay Quarter, for a walk through the Company Gardens, a fresh produce garden for ships and locals from the mid-17th century, and now home to the South Africa Museum, Houses of Parliament, National Gallery and St George's Cathedral. You stroll through the city to Greenmarket Square, where you can browse the bustling market stalls for beautiful and unique African mementoes.

From here, you drive to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront to board a traditionally designed 58ft gaff-rigged schooner, easily identified in the bay by her rusty brown sails. Your sunset sail around Table Bay affords fabulous views of the city lights and surrounding scenery, while enjoying sparkling wines and soft drinks. A fabulous afternoon!

Franschhoek

Day notes

You will be collected from your hotel at 08h30. Today is dedicated to indulging in the splendor of South African wine. The undulating Cape Winelands have a gentle tranquility, lush landscapes dotted with enchanting stone farmhouses and empty country roads. Most exported South African wine comes from the vineyards around Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. The elevated hills are perfect for cultivating both red and white wines. You'll tour some of the region's finest estates, basking in the beauty of the Winelands and pampering yourself with many fine samples. Cape Dutch architecture is on display today while wine history also plays a part of your tour, with stops at the Hugeunot Monument and the Museum in Franschhoek. After a few glasses of the Cape's finest, the enchanting white streets of Stellenbosch are even more endearing, and the fine dining experiences found here are some of the best in the country.

this tour also acts as your transfer to Akademie Street.
